2 Chainz had quite an eventful Valentine's Day!

On Thursday, the rapper's vehicle was pulled over for speeding and the hip-hop star was arrested for 

possession of marijuana in Maryland.

Sgt. Marc Black, a spokesman for the Maryland State Police, told E! News that a van carrying 2 Chainz (real name: Tauheed Epps) was first stopped for going 79 in a 55 mile-per-hour zone. "Upon approaching the van, an odor of marijuana was smelled coming from the vehicle," Black explained. "A probable cause search was executed and a backpack was found with a grinder and trace evidence of marijuana."

Governour Fashola Splashes N54.5m On Super Eagles

More gifts rolling in for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State on Friday announced a cash gift of N54.5 million to the victorious Super Eagles.

The governor, who hosted the Eagles in his office at Ikeja, gave coach Stephen Keshi N2.5million, while his immediate assistant, Daniel Amokachi, got N2 million.

Each of the other four assistant coaches, including Ike Shorunmu and Sylvanus Okpala got N1.5million each, while the team’s captain, Joseph Yobo, was also given N1.5 million.

A Thai couple have set the new world record for The World’s longest Kiss in an event orgnaized to celebrate Valentine’s Day in Thailand.


The couple, Hospital Security Guard, Akekachai Tiranarat, 44, and his 33 year old housewife, wife Raksana Taranarat, locked lips for 58 hours, 35 minutes, and 58 seconds to break the record set last year by more than eight hours.

Competition rules required contestants to remain on their feet all through, slurp food and liquids through a straw and even go to the toilet while continuing to press lips together.

“They were very exhausted because they did not sleep for two-and-a-half days, they had to stand all the time so they were very weak,” Sompron Naksuetrong, vice president of event organiser Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, told AFP.

Goldie Died Of Drugs — PM News Sources

Nigeria’s music diva, Susan Oluwabimpe Harvey, popularly known as Goldie, who died Thursday night may have died as a result of doping complications, close sources to her said.

She died last night at Reddington Hospital, Victoria Island, Lagos, and barely few hours after she arrived from Los Angeles, United States of America.

Goldie’s death was confirmed yesterday by her management via her Facebook Page and Twitter handle.
The main cause of her death is still sketchy as at time of filing this report. Goldie was said to have been rushed to Reddington Hospital by close friend, Denrele Edun from her Park View residence after she complained of headache.

Live Nation Global Touring has confirmed that the remainder of the Lady Gaga Born This Way Ball performances have been cancelled.
After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that  

Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal. 

Refunds for the cancelled performances will be available at point of purchase starting Feb 14, 2013.

Ojukwu Transport Company has sued Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, widow of the Ikemba, Chukuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, before a Lagos High Court over a property.

The firm, which is represented by one of its directors, Dr. Ike Ojukwu, filed the N140 million suit before Justice Adedayo Oyebanji. It is demanding payment of N40 million being the expected rentable value per year of the said premises from September 27, 2012 until the defendant gives up possession of the property.
