Zambia's Scott becomes Africa's first white leader in 20 years

Zambia's Guy Scott became Africa's first white head of state in 20 years on Wednesday after the president, "King Cobra" Michael Sata, died in a London hospital aged 77.

Scott, a Cambridge-educated economist born in Zambia to Scottish parents, had been Sata's vice president. He will be interim leader until an election in three months, making him the first white African leader since South Africa's F.W. de Klerk lost to Nelson Mandela in the 1994 election that ended apartheid.

The Secret Service dogs that tussled with a White House fence jumper, including one dog that was violently kicked by the suspect, are recovering today, officials said.

ACCIDENT: MAN CUT IN TWO ON THE RAILWAY TRACKS IN IBADAN

It was a black evening in Ibadan at about 5:30pm on Wednesday 22nd Oct, 2014 when a man met his untimely death on a railway track.

Korede Bello finally in London for 2nd phase of Mavin UKtour

                                    

The first leg of the Mavin Concert Tour at Manchester on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 was a success despite the absence of label mates, D’Prince and Korede Bello. No reason has been put forward as to why D’Prince and Korede Bello were absent in Manchester since the tour is supposed to include all mates on the label but all efforts to reach out to the Mavins’ camp for confirmation have been unsuccessful so far. 

Breaking: Fire Outbreak At Muritala Mohammed InternationalAirport.

                                         

There was a fire outbreak at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, This Afternoon .
The fire engulfed the second floor of the airport. However, it was reportedly doused shortly after it started, preventing any serious damage to the building. Sources revealed that the fire which started at the second floor of the terminal in the commercial department of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), occurred as a result of a surge in electricity supply.
