Fidelity Bank Plc had earlier donated 100 piece of hp laptops to the university for the laboratory Yesterday they also donated the sum of N10,000,000.00 (Ten Million Naira Only) to the university to procure more 300 laptops

Things have really changed in my school since the new V.C Professor Bartho Okolo took over, the man is not smiling one bit. Within his just 2years, roads are now good, he is renovating virtually all the buildings, demolishing old fashion ones, and building new ones immediately to replace them. I believe its his influence that brought Fidelity Bank and we now have a Computer Laboratory at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Library , which was commissioned by the  Mr. Nnamdi Okonkwo Executive Director of Fidelity Bank Plc

Virginity Test Update: Principal To Undergo Psychiatric Examination

 

Update on this matter of a principal conducting virginity test on pupils is that the Ogun State Government said the principal of Ajuwon Senior High School, Rev. Olufunke Aladeojobi, who allegedly conducted virginity tests on pupils of the school, would be made to undergo a psychiatric examination.


The gist now is that the principal would be sacked if the outcome of the test revealed that she was of unsound mind adding that if otherwise, she would only be demoted and redeployed to the State Teaching Service Commission.

During the test, it was alleged that Aladeojobi, the school’s nurse, Mrs. M.B. Makinde, and another nurse whose name could not be ascertained, dipped their fingers into the pupils’ private parts. But the matter got out of hand when one of the pupils started bleeding after she had been ‘tested.’

6 States To Experience Two-Day Blackout – TCN

A statement issued by the Assistant General Manager, Public Affairs, TCN, Mr. Dave Ifabiyi, in Abuja on Tuesday, named the states as Abia, Imo, Enugu, Ebonyi, Imo and parts of Benue.

According to Ifabiyi, the light out will enable the company’s contractors enhance the capacity of the transmission system that serves the affected areas.

He said, “In the bid to complete the final connection works on the new double circuit 330kV transmission line from Benin, in Edo State, to Onitsha, in Anambra State, and the associated substation at Onitsha, there will be power interruption to Abia, Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi and Imo states in the eastern part of the federation, as well as parts of Benue State on Saturday, January 26 and Sunday, January 27, 2013.

18 Killed In Borno Market Attack-AP

A deputy governor in Nigeria says 18 people were killed in an attack on a local market there.

Borno state deputy Gov. Zanna Mustapha said Tuesday he received the information from a local village chief in the village of Damboa. Mustapha said local chief Abba Ahmed said the attack happened late Monday.

Residents and the deputy governor said the violence started after the local market banned a group of hunters from selling “bush meat” from slaughtered monkeys and other creatures. Local Muslims decline to eat it because of their religious convictions.

Our own reggae master, Majek Fashek  now has mentally wahala am hearing  he is already in rehab, a recent report said he is not getting any better. he was seen on Friday at Ogba, Ikeja Lagos clutching his guitar, staggering with a cigarrette in his mouth, saying words only him could hear.

“Fashek is gone, I’m not sure any kind of rehab will bring him back. He messes up in the estate; he drinks and staggers around with crowd gathering around him. He’s dried up. He has body guards and a deep blue jeep, but most times, I think he sneaks out of the house and ends up misbehaving. The first time i saw him, I thought he was a mad man. He’s gone!”
The cause of majek’s condition is none other than his addiction to marijuana,cocaine and alcohol (3 of the most dangerous hard drugs in the world).

Sometime in 2012, we heard he got a music deal of N15 million naira and was scheduled to release an album…no one has seen any album or heard any single but from the look of things, all did not go well.

What a world? this dude was once bubbling and smiling making waves everywhere. I wish him quick recovery
