Haters are going to hate and achievers are going to achieve. Today the star boy, Wizkid won the MOBO Award for Best African Act. Yeah boy! God is making him bigger. The pop star beat D'Banj, Seun Kuti, Cheikh Lo, Fatoumata Diawara, Liquideep, Owiny Sigoma Band, Smod, Spoek Mathambo, and Vieux Farka Toure.

Another artiste of Nigerian origin took home an award. UK rap star Tinie Tempah won the Best Hip Hop/ Grime Act.

The MOBO Awards was hosted by Jason Derulo and Alesha Dixon.
