Michael Jackson's Family Loses Court Battle Over His Death

It's been four years since Michael Jackson passed away in June 2009, and now the verdict has been reached in the trial over whether AEG Live was liable in the legendary singer's death. Today the jury decided: AEG did hire Dr. Conrad Murray. However, they also decided that Murray was not unfit to treat the star, meaning the Jackson family loses.

It's a little ironic that in the criminal case over Jackson's death, Murray was ruled to have done things that ultimately killed the star. But in this civil wrongful death case, Murray was deemed to have been competent at the start, thereby ruining Katherine Jackson's case.

This is hilarious!!! Geneveive Nnaji has threaten to slap EME singer, Skales If he mentions her name in his lyrics again. EME rapper, Skales probably never saw this coming. Well incase you didn’t know Skales in a song titled “no time” said that genevieve was top on his list and he wants to give her the D, but now Skales might get the ‘S’. 

The far from happy star actress issued a statement this morning to one of our reporters, and I quote:

“Can you imagine that boy telling me he wants to give me the D ..what does he know, is the D sef? ..that is by the way..the next time i hear him mention my name in his lyrics again, I’m gonna give him a dirty slap, he’ll never forget..what sort of nonsense, am I his mate? how much does he have?”

Banky W was contacted but all he could say was

“I told Skales..upcoming artist don’t mention her name in songs…now we have to go and beg all together….Wizkid is already buying her gifts..we cant spoil EME’s name, A slap on Skales is a slap on the whole family”

UPDATE: Agagu’s Casket Recovered, as FAAN Blames Crash on Engine Failure

The corpse of the former governor of Ondo State, Agagu has been transferred to another plane of onward journey to Akure, the Ondo State capital after the casket was recovered from the crashed plane, even as the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) blamed Thursday morning’s incident on engine failure. 

However, fresh information reaching Daily Times indicates that Dr. Olusegun Agagu’s wife, Funke was not on board the ill-fated aircraft but is in Akure awaiting the arrival of her husband’s corpse, while his son, Feyi, who was on board the plane survived.
The chartered Associated Airlines plane was heading to the Ondo State capital for the funeral of the late Governor when the plane crashed during take off at the domestic wing of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.

An Akure bound airplane (reportedly a small jet) crashed this morning at Airport Road, near MMIA. The news has been reportedly announced on AIT. The fault is said to be as a result of the plane being faulty and the plane crashed near a petrol tanker. At least 20 people were onboard and casualties have been taken to LASUTH via emergency vans and are still unconscious at the moment. Meanwhile, The National EMergency Mangement Agency (NEMA) has confirmed two people dead. This is really bad for Nigeria to be experiencing shortly after celebrating her independence day. Since the plane crashed at the International airport, this indicates that more attention needs to be paid to all the new international airports being built across the country. The governments need to pay more attention to flight security rather than just building airports.

These 3 Boys Were Caught Trying To Escape From Nigeria

The Lagos Airport command of Nigeria Police Force has arrested three young boys for attempting to illegally board some international flights, in a bid to escape from the wahala in Naija. Lol!

Commissioner of Police for the command, Salahu Waheed, said the boys, Lateef Popoola, 13; Amadi Joshua, 14; and Ukpabio Onyedikachi, 14, were arrested at different times at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja.

MC Loph’s Mother Passes Away

Mother of the late Osondi Owendi crooner, Mc Loph, Mrs. Obiajulu has passed away. Mrs. Obiajulu was reportedly abandoned since she lost her two children, MC Loph and his sister in an auto crash along Benin Ore Expressway on September 14, 2011, while heading to a traditional wedding ceremony. 

A family source told Newsmen that she died in a private hospital in Enugu after battling an undisclosed illness. It would be recalled that the deceased once accused MC Loph’s manager, Emeka Morgan, of killing her son and daughter, in an interview granted her few months back.

Now that neither Chris Brown nor Drake is romantically involved with Rihanna (or so they say), there is apparently room for reconcilliation. Though the R&B singers have traded barbs in both interviews and songs over the past year, a spy at the iHeartRadio Music Festival told Page Six that they appear to be on good terms these days. 

Apparently Drake showed up at the MGM Grand Garden Arena with his whole crew to catch Brown's performance on Friday, and not just to gawk: Afterwards, the former rivals were spotted "hugging and drinking" backstage. The source claims that Def Jam music executive Abou Thiam was responsible for bringing the two together. 

Drake, Brown, and their respective entourages were involved in an epic club brawl at New York City's W.i.P. nightclub in June 2012. NBA star Tony Parker was injured in the melee.
