Another Nigerian Air Force Aircraft Crashes in Port Harcourt

According to PREMIUM TIMES A Nigerian Air Force helicopter has crash landed in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The aircraft, which was said to have made an emergency landing at a Port Harcourt military airport, crash landed and reportedly went up in flames; there was no casualties from the crash.

The crash is happening few days after another Air Force aircraft crashed in Niamey, Niger Republic killing two officers.

Pepsi Co & Mountain Dew has said it is cutting ties with Lil Wayne after he made an "offensive" reference to civil rights martyr Emmett Till in a song.

The New Orleans rapper has been embroiled in a months-long controversy over a lyric in a remix of Karate Chop, originally written and performed by hip-hop artist Future, that likens the lynching of 14-year-old African-American Emmett Till to a sexual act.

Prince William & Kate Middleton Celebrates Second Wedding Anniversary

Yesterday made it two years since the royal wedding. Prince William and Kate Middleton exchanged the ultimate vow April 29, 2011.

According to Zimibi media; A representative said "I'm afraid we're not giving any details on their anniversary plans, as [they are] private," and another a source revealed that the couple celebrated early. William is actually away today on Royal Air Force duties. 

Apparently they had a romantic dinner in London on Friday after their trip to Warner Bros. Studios. After dinner, they spent the weekend in Norfolk before William had to get back to work. They also exchanged "appropriate" gifts for their paper anniversary. In the UK, the first anniversary is cotton and the second's paper.

50 Year Pastor Docked for Allegedly Raping Three Primary School Pupils

A pastor, Emmauel Mathew (50), was on Tuesday arraigned before Justice Husseini Baba-Yusuf of the FCT High Court for alleged rape of three pupils in his school.

Mathew, who is the pastor and General Overseer of The Choice Bible Church, Mpape, and proprietor of the primary school where his victims attended, was arraigned on a six-count charge of rape.

Keshi Ranked 5th Best Coach In Africa, 27th In The World

Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi has moved one step on world coaches ranking for the national teams for the month of April. Keshi is rated the 27th best national coach in the world and the fifth best in Africa despite his triumphant run at the last Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.

Keshi, who has coached in Togo and Mali, finally made an impact with the Super Eagles when he won the Nations Cup, became the second African to win the trophy as captain and a coach after Egypt’s Mahmoud El Gohary, but all that failed to give Keshi a quantum leap on the world rankings.

THE Federal Government has ordered the retrenchment of no fewer than 20,000 workers of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, ahead of takeover by successful bidders of its assets.

Vanguard gathered that the Bureau for Public Enterprises, BPE, issued the directive to the Chief Executive Officers, CEOs, of the 18 successor companies to PHCN at a meeting in Abuja, to compile names and drastically reduce the 50,000 strong workforce before the new investors take over.

It was gathered that new investors demanded that the workforce must be pruned before government hands off.
