President Banda Hosts The Africa Movie Academy Awards Nominations in Malawi

The AMAA nomination weekend will run from March 14th-17th during which the business community, the political  class in Malawi, celebrities from across Africa and their counterparts in the Southern African country will be hosted to per-nomination concert, the nominations event proper and post-nomination party.

Jonathan Donates N200M To Yobe State University For Naming Library After Him

GEJ yesterday ordered the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) to immediately release N200 million to Yobe state University,  while commissioning the school's library that was named after him.

“since the library was named after Mr president, we will make sure that TETFund gives you N200 million to complete the project,”

Nwankwo Kanu Loses N1.4 Billion

Nigeria’s football star, Nwankwo Kanu has lost N1.4 billion in his hotel business and the Managing Director
of the hotel, Mr. Ayoola Gam Ikon, 49, has been arrested and charged to court for the alleged fraud.
Operatives of the Inspector General of Police Monitoring Unit arrested Ikon, the managing director of Hardley Suites Limited situated at Waziri Ibrahim Crescent, off Elsie Femi Pearse Street, Victoria Island, Lagos southwest Nigeria,  for allegedly stealing the N1.4 billion belonging to the hotel and suites owned by Kanu.

Just when I thought Chris Brown had run out of people to beef with I'm reading on every website that he fought with his own bodyguard yesterday and then left him stranded in Bermuda.

According to Bermuda Sun, He and his team arrived aboard a private plane around 1:30 p.m. to refuel the aircraft. However, an airport worker claims that an altercation occurred between Chris Brown and his bodyguard, Big Pat, during that stop.

Borno state government has declared Friday, work free day for both public and private sector, following the expected visit of President Goodluck Jonathan to the state.
The state government in a statement signed by the secretary to the state government, Amb. Baba Ahmed Jidda and made available to DailyPost on Wednesday said, the work free day is to honour the President who is coming to Maiduguri, the Borno state capital for the first time since assuming office as the president.
