News is that the Yoruba movie industry, otherwise known as ANTP, indicates that one of the fast rising actresses, Silifa Ladeji famously known as Silifonia, was on Wednesday beaten to death by her lover during a misunderstanding.

The father of late pop idol, Michael Jackson, Joe was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment after he went down with mild stroke.

According to his spokeswoman, Angel Howansky, the 84-year old patriarch went to a Las Vegas hospital late Wednesday night when he had trouble standing up and walking.

Ghanaian arrested with cocaine at Nigeria’s border

The Seme Border Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested a 28-year old Ghanaian auto dealer for allegedly concealing wraps of powdery substances that tested positive for cocaine in his inner wear, the agency said on Thursday.

The suspect, Ali Aminu, was arrested with a Ghanaian international passport number H2252580, said Mitchell Ofoyeju, NDLEA Head of Public Affairs.

900 Corpers Opt Out Of Kano and Niger because of Boko Haram

Following the directive from the National headquarters of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, to redeploy any any corps member seeking transfer, 900 corps members have so far been redeployed  from Kano and Niger states.

The coordinator of the scheme in Kano State, Alhaji Bashir Yakasai, revealed that 800 corps members were redeployed out of the 2, 129 posted to the state while Mrs Justina Andriya, Niger State Coordinator of the scheme confirmed that 100 married female corps members sought redeployment from the state to their husbands’ states of residence.

Accidents Claim 124 Lives In Lagos

Accidents have claimed 124 lives on roads in Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria in the last 10 months, according to records obtained from the Lagos State Government.

The records obtained from the state government’s agency, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA on Wednesday revealed that 619 accidents involving 1,204 vehicles with 124 people killed occurred on Lagos roads between January and October, 2012.

UK Based Nigerian (Opemipo Jaji) Rapes 11-Year-Old Girl For 3 Hours Inside a Park

An 18-year-old is to appear in court charged with the rape of an 11-year-old girl who he attacked on Friday, November 23 at around 4.30pm in Enfield, north London, as she walked home from school.

She was dragged into nearby Jubilee Park and rapëd in an ordeal that police said could have lasted as long as three hours.

Boko Haram writes FG Asking for Dialogue

The Islamist militant group,  Boko Haram,  has distributed a letter requesting dialogue  with the Federal  Government.

The letter, which was  sent through head of journalists in Borno State, Aba Kakami, came less than 72 hours after a double suicide bombing  led to the death of  at least 17 people at the Protestant Military Church, Armed Forces Command and Staff College in Jaji, Kaduna State.
