Nigerian Made App Form+ Wins the Google Developers Challenge 2012

                                    

I got very excited when I learnt yesterday that Form+ which was developed by a friend Bolutife Ogunsola along with his team mates, Michael Ifeoluwa Adeyeri, Willie Aniebiet and Omotunde Bajo all from the University of Lagos, finally made it to the grand prize of the prestigious worldwide Google Developer Challenge for 2012.

200 years old Iroko tree falls and kills 2, injures 8

A controversial 200-year-old Iroko tree at the market square at Ifite-Dunu,  Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State, on Sunday, fell, leaving two persons dead.

Also, eight people that got injured in the incident were said to be receiving treatment in hospitals in the town.

CBN Orders Banks to Stop Charging N100 for Inter-bank ATM Withdrawals

The Bankers’ Committee of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, on Tuesday 13th November 2012, approved the immediate removal of the N100 charge on customers who use the Automated Teller Machines of banks other than theirs.

Lam Adesina, former Oyo governor, dies at 73

   
Ibadan – A former governor of Oyo State, Alhaji Lamidi Adesina, has died at the age of 73.

Adesina, who died at St. Nicholas Hospital, Lagos, after a protracted illness, would have celebrated his 74th birthday next January.

Gov. Abiola Ajimobi, who announced the death in Ibadan on Sunday, said Adesina, was until his death, a National Leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).

A source who spoke on the condition of anonymity also revealed that Pastor John has been in the habit of having carnal knowledge of his flocks before his present ordeal. His latest victim, is in her early 30s with six children for her husband.
