The most anticipated cyouth event of the year aptly tagged The Dynamix All Youth Awards held on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the Muson Center, Lagos.

Big Brother Amplified winner Karen Igho hosted the event alongside comedians Seyi Law andBash. It was a beautiful night as  over 5,000 Nigerian Youths met to celebrate and recognize their peers who had made extraordinary efforts to make positive differences in the Youth Society (home and abroad).

Arik Air Hostess, Chiwendu Ogbonnaya, Arrested in the UK For Drug Trafficking

A 30 year old Nigerian air hostess with Arik Air, Chinwendu Uwakaonyenma Ogbonnaya, was on Sunday December 18th arrested at Heathrow Airport for attempting to smuggle four kilogram of cocaine into the UK.

Chiwendu was on an Arik Air flight from Lagos to the UK when the drug was discovered in one of her bags. She's been charged to court. They are not releasing pics of her at the moment...

Baby With Two Heads, One Heart, Born In Brazil, Named Jesus and Emanuel In Honor of Christmas

Doctors in Brazil are unsure whether they can safely operate on a baby born with two heads.

The rare condition occurs when one of two conjoined twins fails to fully develop in the womb.

The “twins”, named Jesus and Emanuel, have two brains, two backbones and a single heart.

The 4.5 kg baby was born by caesarean at daybreak on Monday in a small hospital in the northern state of Para and was rushed by plane to a better equipped hospital in the state capital Belem.

Doctor Neila Dahas, who is treating the newborn, said separating the heads would be impossible because he only has one set of organs.

“What we know statistically is that the children who undergo surgery and survive are the children who have less organs in common,” she said.

She added that it is still difficult to choose which head to remove because both brains are functioning well.

 "We were very closed , it was something that we really considered,especially after jaiye ,Oh my God Rest in peace Jaiye ,she wanted a friend and i looked at it i said ok ,are we going to spoil this ,if we take it to that level?we considered it , we looked at it , can we try it?"

A German father who had sex with his daughter nearly 500 times and had three children with her was jailed for less than three years after a court declared he did not rape her. A judge in the case of Adolf B, 69, stunned women's and child protection rights groups by declaring that his incestuous relationship with his daughter over 30 years was 'by agreement' - even though he first molested her when she was only 12. He was accused of brutalising his wife and children, stunning them into a long-term conspiracy of silence.

Auto crash: 18 killed in Edo

WITH less than five days to Christmas, no fewer than 18 persons have lost their lives in an auto crash that occurred at Aduhanhan village, along the Benin-Agbor-Asaba dual carriage way.
Three others were seriously injured in the accident that occurred last Saturday .
Edo State sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr. Henry Olatunji, who confirmed the accident, said a Volkswagen commercial bus, marked XB 326 SGD, and a truck, marked YF 303 ENU, were involved in the accident.
Mr. Olatunji attributed the cause of the accident to route violation by drivers of the two vehicles who were contesting right of way.
He said those dead, including nine males and nine females, were deposited at Our Clinic hospital in Benin City.

Less than a month after she tweeted that she is going to be a big sister,Selena Gomez has cancelled all her engagement for the week to be with her mum, Mandy, who suffered a miscarriage of her pregnancy.

Selena, 19,  learned about the sad news on Friday night while in the audience at Power 106′s Cali Christmas 2011 concert in Los Angeles.

She left immediately and headed home to offer support to her mum and her husband, Brian.

James Cameron Sued for $2.5Billion Over Avatar Movie

    Avatar  director James Cameron has been sued for the second time in nearly as many weeks by someone claiming to have come up with the idea for the sci-fi mega-hit.Bryant Moore , a science fiction writer claims Cameron used the two screenplays as the basis for "Avatar."

    In his lawsuit, Moore points out various similarities, including bioluminescent flora/plant life, unbreathable atmospheres, matriarch support of hero vs. heroine, spiritual connections to environment and reincarnation, appearance of mist in scene, sunlight to moonlight, crackling from gargantuan foliage, blue skin/green skin and battle scene on limbs/branches.

   Accordong to TMZ, Moore is also going after 20th Century Fox and Cameron's production company.  He wants more than $1.5 billion in actual damages and more than $1 bil in punitives.

    Cameron's attorney, Bert Fields, and Fox both slammed the latest suit by science fiction writer Bryant Moore as without merit. 

Avatar was released in 2009  and raked in more than $2.78 billion worldwide.

    Lady Gaga has been voted The Associated Press Entertainer of the Year.There were 135 ballots submitted by U.S. news organizations that make up the AP's membership. Editors and broadcasters were asked to cast their ballots for who had the most influence on entertainment and culture in 2011.

Lady Gaga narrowly edged out the late Apple founder Steve Jobs by three votes. Her year was dominated by the release of her second studio album, "Born This Way."

  Previous winners of the AP Entertainer of the Year include Betty White, Taylor Swift, Tina Fey and Stephen Colbert.

Since she was born, 12-year-old Shade Samuel has always been a very promising girl. Pretty, brilliant and imbued with a bundle of talents, she started dazzling her schoolmates since she turned three and began her elementary education.
