VIDEO: Nigeria’s First Lady Breaks Down And Cries Over Chibok Girls

The First Lady of Nigeria, Dame Patience Jonathan during a meeting with the principal of the Chibok Girls school, broke down and cried.

What I understood by the 2:38mins video clip was that, the Borno principal attended the meeting with the first lady in Abuja ALONE. He was meant to come along with at least two teachers who were there on the day they were abducted by terrorists…the teachers who were supposedly invigilating the exams the girls were said to be writing.

Truth has to be told. There are too many loop holes in this case. Adequate security wasn’t provided for those girls by the Borno State Government. They also didn’t adhere to the standard protocol of attaching soldiers to guard a school full of children. They also stalled in releasing the names of the missing girls…no photos…until CAN released 180 names of the missing girls, yesterday.

Now, the heat is solely on the Federal Government. Everyone locally and internationally are hitting them hard. So it’s understandable for the first lady to break down. She’s frustrated and armed with little or no information to make a headway in assisting with the rescue of  the girls.

Borno government should be solely held responsible, first. We need detailed information on the missing Chibok girls.
