Kanye West's 'Yeezus' Hits Number 1 on the Billboard 200

According to Zimbio reports, In its first week, Kanye West's Yeezus moved over 325,000 copies, firmly clinching the top spot on the Billboard 200 despite a lack of traditional promotion. There was no hit single to buoy the numbers, no music video. Just a handful of appearances, a high profile birth, and proclamations like "I'm the number one living and breathing rock star."

Still, Yeezus' sales are the lowest in the first week of any in his career. When he released his debut full-length album College Dropout nearly a decade ago, West sold 441,000 copies in the first week — sales boosted by the success of his single "Through the Wire." His next effort, Late Registration, sold almost double those numbers the following year, and he sold over 437,000 copies of his 2007 opus Graduation on the first day alone (total first week sales: 957,000)
