Slim Burna celebrated his birthday yesterday with the release of his highly anticipated first full-length project, titled "I'm On Fire".
Slim Burna also manages to juggle different musical styles and run through multiple genres. And while his performance turns out to be pretty impressive, the most significant part is Gabriel's effortless combination of dancehall and hiphop genres to deliver a culturally unconventional end result.
The 15-track mixtape boasts potent lyrics and delivery from the Bonny, Port Harcourt native and showcases his startling artistic abilities, versatility and growth as an artist. Guest features come from the likes of Timaya's protege Attitude, Squeeze, Bukwild Da Ikwerrian, Knowledge, Young Stunna and more. Slim Burna sings about a wide range of subject matters, such as everyday life and struggles, social issues, sex, drugs, love and the ambition to be successful.
Generally, it's a glimpse of life from the perspective of young, self-assured Gabriel Halliday. NB: The previously released mixtape front cover has been altered to display just one logo (the P.A sticker). The rest of the logos can now be found on the tape's back cover.
