Funny and Serious at the same time. Bill Gates just wants to make the world a better place, Yup as part of his foundations Grand Challenges in Global Health Initiative, Gates and company have issued the following directive:

Develop the next generation of condom. Why do we need a "next generation of condom?" Because men are selfish, and Gates' program isn't afraid to call attention to the problem: "The one major drawback to more universal use of male condoms is the lack of perceived incentive for consistent use. The primary drawback from the male perspective is that condoms decrease pleasure as compared to no condom, creating a trade-off that many men find unacceptable."

Rather than take a bury the head in the sand approach, the Gates Foundation is proactively trying to fix it with the help of some creative minds out there. If you can invent a condom that significantly preserves or enhances pleasure, in order to improve uptake and regular use," then you'll win a $100,000 grant with the opportunity to receive a follow-on grant of up to $1 million.
