Kalou pays up $5,000 bet with Mikel Obi after Super Eagles’ Win

Cote d’Ivoire striker Solomon Kalou has paid up $5,000 to Mikel Obi after the Eagles beat his team to reach the semi-finals of the AFCON. :p

Kalou and Mikel are very close friends since their days at EPL side Chelsea and even put up a bet where the Ivorian forward vowed to score one of the goals that will see the Elephants trample on the Eagles on the way to the next round of the competition.

“We played a very good Super Eagles, they started the game well and scored a good goal to take the lead. I have redeemed my pledge to Mikel as he won the bet,” Kalou told the radio station Brila FM.
