Goodluck Jonathan Exposed (Must Read Article)

Nigeria: Jonathan summons Emergency FEC Meeting as protests spread
U NID 2 READ DIS CAREFULLY!!!

When President Olusegun Obasanjo was in power we spent 300 billion per year on the fuel subsidy. Under the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan it shot up to 1.3 trillion naira in the last one year alone. Can someone please explain to me how it got so high in 4 years and what exactly they were subsidizing with the extra one trillion naira?

When the Obasanjo government left power in 2007 the country was no longer in debt and the 30 billion dollar foreign debt that Obasanjo met when he came to power in 1999 was fully paid off. Today, under the administration of Jonathan, our country is back in debt to the tune of 41 billion dollars (both foreign and domestic) and we are still borrowing. Can someone please tell me what the loans were used for and whether we will ever be able to pay them off?

When the Obasanjo administration left power in 2007 our foreign reserves were 80 billion dollars even though when he came into office in 1999 we only had 1.5 billion dollars.
Today our foreign reserves have dropped from 80 billion dollars in 2007 to 33 billion dollars. Can someone please tell me where all the money went? When the Obasanjo administration left power in 2007 23 billion dollars was left in the Excess Crude Account after he built it up from nothing in 1999. Today we do not have one dollar left in that account because the money has been squandered and the account scrapped. Can someone explain to me who spent that money and precisely what it was spent on?

By the time the Obasanjo administration left power in 2007 not one bomb had gone off in Abuja throughout his 8 years in office and neither did we shy away from confronting the evil and dealing a hard blow to the terrorists wherever and whenever it was necessary to do so. Today bombs go off at will all over the north, the President hides in the Villa and churches were targeted.

Spending d nation's money like it is his own personal money...what is wrong with u ppl sef and why is our generation so brainwashed and acting so stupid like dis? l agree with Femi Fani-Kayode's article, cos l have read dis same kind of article by another writer somewhere before, like last 2 weeks, except dat his own article was more detailed than dis one!!!

  5. You guys why can't you act like adults every one has an opinion and should be allowed to speak. I believe this writeup is biased. we should learn to praise people when they do good things.During the Obansanjo administration the government was not applauded for all these mentioned above. Lets not also forget that there was a government before this present administration. let's do the right things in our own little ways so when we get to the top we will have a positive influence. I leave you with this rhetorical question, if you were to be the president of Nigeria, how would you rule the country!!!!

  6. Can someone pleas tell Mr Femi that the economy of this country is not a constitution that they will seat in a room call court and passing judgement,if he is ignorant on how this work he should keep quiet and stop encouraging people to be violent. My advice to him in due respect is to republish this baseless article in two years time and see it relevance. It only visionery leaders and followers that can see the benefits this wil bring to us in future.I trust this government and God will help us

  7. Hi guys..Is it possible for you guys to at least know that some people are somewhere fraustrating all the efforts of Goodluck jonathan and causing havoc in the country to make it look like the country is unstable and unsafe and as well make us loose confidence in him so he could be oustered...yes its true, there are people who joined forces together to fraustrate his administration.. We all just need to pray for Nigeria to regain its lost glory, i mean we have lost it in everything....You guys should think about this, this is way far beyond what goodluck jonathan can do alone..May God help Nigeria.

  9. you guys are funny... you say an article is bias without proof of such, you say the author should shut the hell up [hmm.... typical Nigerian intimidation phrase], accusing him or her as anti Jonathan, without thinking that you may sound like the oppressor that is frustrated by the reactions of the Nigerian masses.. if the article is incorrect, then be matured and systematically pin point areas that are wrong.. you guys should grow up, and let the oppressed express their anger, pain and frustration. as far as am conserned, so many people both at home and in diaspora have expressed same view of hardship, anger and frustration befalling the nigerian masses. this is a very big mess, at this point shows the incompetence of the present administration, unless the administration has got an ultimate satisfactory contingency plan.
revolution, is eminent, and unless this administration assures the masses that things are gonna be handy... am afraid this is the worst austerity measure considering where the minimum wage in Nigeria is just about N15,000.
this mess is the sole reason why countries like United Kingdom play us around, because we have no system that works or at least have the welfare of its masses at heart.
Lastly, there is an add-age that this world is a table fan... it rotates!!

  13. It is foolish to excuse mr president saying people are working against him. It has always been so with every leader. I am really laughing at nigerians because you voted a man who could not demonstrate leadership in his home (his wifes bad language bears testimony) or in his home state (ask bayelsans what he achieved). People rallied behind him for money, and religious and ethnic sentiments. Here is the result... Good luck to Nigeria
