2 women beheaded in Ogun

                                                

The christmas celebration in Idolehin Village, Ado-Odo Local Government Area of Ogun State was shattered as two Egun women were murdered in cold bloodby unknown persons.
The victims, Funmilayo Awosah and Jodenu Ayinke were slaughtered in their sleep by unknown persons, who came to the Abule Babalawo in Idolehin village on the night of the boxing day.

According to the villagers, the assailants, who murdered the two women did not stop at killing them, but also took their heads away. The villagers woke up to behold the headless naked bodies. Already, the state Criminal Investigation Department, Eleweran has stepped into the investigation to unravel the mystery behind the gruesome murder of the two women and bring the perpetrators of the dastard act to book.


A team of crack detectives from the state command stormed the village and met the headless bodies in the pool of their blood. The security operatives commenced preliminary investigation immediately. The villagers, who are mainly Egun people accused land speculators, who had been terrorising the community for sometime.

When contacted, the Ogun State Police Command spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi confirmed the incident. According to him, the command was aware of the incident and the investigation was already on to bring the perpetrators to book.

Somtime, a farmer in the community, Abiodun Ogungbe was killed on June 29, 2011 less than 48hours after the naming ceremony of his new baby. Ogungbe’s body was found by the roadside some minutes after he was abducted in the presence of his wife.
Investigation into his death has remained inconclusive.
