Jaden and Willow Smith are best known for a.) being the children of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, and b.) occasionally doing karate in movies and/or whipping their hair back and forth. Now we can add c.) giving deliciously bizarre interviews to their list of major accomplishments.

Jaden, 16, and Willow, 14, sat down with T magazine "on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean" to discuss, ostensibly, their new albums, but also a whole bunch of other weird stuff like prana energy (what?), how time doesn't really exist, and the trouble with driver's ed. Read on for the best bits:

On what they're currently reading:
Willow: "Quantum physics"
Jaden: "...ancient texts; things that can’t be pre-dated."

You Have to Read This Bonkers Jaden and Willow Smith Interview On time:
Willow: "I mean, time for me, I can make it go slow or fast, however I please, and that’s how I know it doesn’t exist."

On baby science:
Jaden: "When babies are born, their soft spots bump: It has, like, a heartbeat in it. That’s because energy is coming through their body, up and down."
Willow: "Prana energy."
Jaden: "It’s prana energy because they still breathe through their stomach. They remember. Babies remember."

On the trouble with finding good stuff to read:
Willow: "There’re no novels that I like to read so I write my own novels, and then I read them again, and it’s the best thing."

On driver's ed:
Jaden: "You never learn anything in school. Think about how many car accidents happen every day. Driver’s ed? What’s up? I still haven’t been to driver’s ed because if everybody I know has been in an accident, I can’t see how driver’s ed is really helping them out."

On dessert:
Willow: "Me and Jaden just figured out that our voices sound like chocolate together. As good as chocolate tastes, it sounds that good."
According to a statement from the spokesman of the Enugu Police Command, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, DSP, the suspect was apprehended by the operatives of the Nigeria Police Force on Sunday, November 9 at the National Youth Service Corps orientation camp in Awgu for allegedly stealing an NYSC tag and using same to produce his own tag, with the same tag number 1614. Henry also claims to be an indigene of Ihube Okigwe and an Industrial Physics graduate from the Abia State University, Uturu.

Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, DSP further said that suspect has admitted to his crime and has pleaded for forgiveness and promised to cooperate in the investigations.
“He said he was not called up to the orientation Camp at Awgu, hence he had to steal a tag from a corps member, from which he did a tag for himself to enable him have a free access in the camp. He confirmed that he came to the orientation camp with a call up letter that is different from the one in the NYSC system and that he has stayed up to three days in the camp. The Suspect is now pleading for forgiveness just as the operatives have vowed to bring those behind the act to book”, Amaraizu said in the statement.

House of Assembly aspirant, Desmond Ellliot in a recent interview with Vanguard spoke extensively about his new career in politics. Desmond did’t say he was going into politics for money or otherwise, but insisted money is key when it comes to politicking

Excerpts from the interview

Why did you suddenly go into politics?

I didn’t suddenly go into politics; politics has always been a part of me. I’ve been involved in campaigns for some Governors and even the President. I’ve been on the campaign trail for very long time now.
Even though I have never sought any elective office before I have always had it at back of my mind as something I would do one day. It is not a surprise at all, it’s a well-thought out action and I came very prepared. I didn’t just sleep one day and say okay, it’s time to go into politics

If you were elected into the Lagos State House of Assembly, what change should people expect from you?

A Lot; First, I’m young, dynamic, very vibrant and fast thinking. I’ve had lots of links with corporate bodies, private bodies and nonprofit organizations. Through me I know a lot can be achieved because of my articulated experience. Just wait and see me in action.

Why Surulere?

That’s my constituency; I think it’s good I face my constituency for now

Are you going to leave Nollywood if you get elected?

I can never leave Nollywood, I am only going to help in propagating and promoting laws that would help to structure the industry and make it better and improve it from the present situation – that’s it.

Why did the name ‘Olusola’ just come up from nowhere?

Olusola didn’t just come up; I’m in an industry where we have names. Desmond is my first name, Elliot is my last name and my middle name is Sola.

I’m going to a constituency that knows me as Sola so I put it in; it’s not something I just suddenly developed. Everyone is surprised, we’ve gone past surprise; question is what do you have to offer? Let’s move on. Whether I have the name Sola or not, that does not affect my capability to do work

How do you see some of your Nollywood colleagues going into politics; do you think anybody can just wake up one morning and say they want to go into politics without having the potential in them?s

First, everyone is entitled by law to vote and be voted for. Secondly, I am maybe not too surprised that many of Nollywood actors in this dispensation are going into politics. It’s not too far from the fact that there have been a lot of socio-economic changes that have happened to us in recent times.

That being as it may, we still must realize the fact that Nollywood or entertainment as an industry has contributed immensely to the growth of the Nigerian economy and as such, it is not absurd or strange that those who have contributed to the growth of the economy should want to partake in politics to serve. We have a good relationship with our fans which are the public and the grassroots.

Sometimes people don’t just accept it because they don’t understand why somebody who is playing make-believe on TV should want to rule or serve.

At the end of the day, I can’t speak for everybody but what I do know is everyone is entitled as far as you’re a Nigerian to vote and be voted for.

Many people believe that entertainers are getting into politics because of money?

Granted, yes, there’s money in politics but have you asked yourself one question, is it sand that you use to play politics? The answer is No. What you’re playing politics with is money. I’m not so much into what government is going to be giving as allowance, my idea as a fresh mind is how to harness the resources around me and provide for the people.

Because if I just stick with what government is giving, then I am just going to be like everybody else. But when I harness resources from both home and abroad, harness NGOs, harness non-profit organizations, corporate bodies, private bodies, and bring all into creating social responsibility and social development in the people, then I know I’m achieving something that has not been done before.

That is the major difference I’m bringing in; using me and the platform I have to create a lot and to make so many changes. It’s already started.

You said you’re into politics for the youths?

I didn’t say I was there for the youths, I just said I also represent the youths

Do you have anything special to offer them?

Oh yes, in my constituency, I want to make it a point of duty that in the next two years, every youth as long as you’re a Surulere resident, you’re doing some form of tertiary education. Right now as it stands, we have already gotten admission for a couple of people at the Open University to study.

We also have skills acquisition in that same university, we also have things to offer like nursing abroad. All these are subject to funding which I intend to have from corporate bodies and see how we can interface. There’s a lot that could be done which is the reason why I said you need brighter, fresher, renewable minds that are ready to work.

My plan is to make sure I get people to go learn skills, empower them by getting them shops to realize these skills, get even the banking sector into realizing the SMEs, make sure there’s funding, try to get as many people off the streets as possible

Are you planning to provide jobs for youths or what?

I’m not a job maker but I can make sure that I provide the avenue for which they can work. I can influence things when I become a lawmaker.

Why APC?

It’s the party of change, it’s the party to be in, and it’s the party to realize every dream. Its manifesto has said we are giving more than a million jobs to youths; every unemployed youth is entitled to at least N5, 000 a month.

There’s housing and I’m talking genuine housing, low-cost housing for people, the expansion of Lagos State in terms of housing is one of the things we’re looking at. There’s so much, not just promises but things you know they can do.

A simple example is what you see happening in Osun State which is almost like a blueprint where even children are entitled to lunch; they are entitled to one meal a day from the government. Those are the kinds of social welfare we’re talking about, alleviating the problems and the poverty of people.

This is a party that means change; all I’m asking for is people should get into this boat and seize this opportunity to be in this party because it is indeed the party of change. It is diversified in terms of the people that are members of the party, you couldn’t ask for anything better

The United States has said that it refused to sell its Cobra helicopters to Nigeria due to concerns about the Nigeria’s military ability to use and maintain them. The cobra attack helicopter is a combat aircraft used by the US marines with the ability to climb at the rate of 8.2meters per second. It is equipped with a 20 mm M197 3-barreled Gatling cannon in the A/A49E-7 turret (750 rounds ammo capacity).

But America stated that it had provided and approved sales of military equipment to Nigerian armed forces. The US State Department spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, stated this in Washington on Wednesday while responding to questions from journalists on the allegations made by the Nigerian ambassador to US, Prof. Adebowale Adefuye. Adefuye had told members of the Council on Foreign Relations on Monday that the US refused to sell lethal arms to Nigeria, adding that America was not doing enough to assist in combating the Boko Haram insurgency in North-Eastern part of the country.

The ambassador said the US was letting down an old ally in its hour of need, and that Nigerians and the FG feel abandoned.

He is unarguably considered the best and the most handsome actor in Nollywood. Lots of ladies would give up everything to have a nice timeout with Nollywood’s ‘Lover Boy’, Ramsey Nouah. Nigeriafilms.com had a one-on-one interview with this cute dude, where he discussed several issues; from politics, his family life, future plans, regrets and lots more. Excerpts;

You are hardly seen in movies except for few, what has been happening to you?
Nothing! I am just making changes, what kind of movies are you talking about anyways?

It seems you are selective of movies, what do you look out for in movies?
Well, yes I am. I look out for good movies, good storylines, the ones I can interpret to my best capability. Good technical also. We are trying to upgrade the industry as best as we can, set up everything that has cinema culture. We want people to come to the cinema and watch movies and not just the ones on VCD, you just watch it once and then it’s all gone. You know, probably a movie that will last like forever; like evergreen movies.

As the world marks World Pneumonia Day today, Sanofi strengthens its commitment in the fight against pneumonia with the Pediatric Initiative tagged ‘Healthy Children, Happy Children’ in partnership with the Pediatric Association of Nigeria (PAN).

Speaking on this initiative, Medical Director, Sanofi Nigeria and Ghana, Dr. Fifen Inoussasaid, ‘Pediatrics is a priority for Africa because one child out of four in the world is African and 50 percent of the worldwide infant mortality occurs on this continent. The Sanofi Pediatric Initiative corresponds to the strong desire to reinforce our commitment to child healthcare.”

President, Paediatric Association of Nigeria, Prof. Adebiyi Olowu, stated that Pneumonia is one of the preventable but major causes of child mortality in Nigeria and it is essential that parents, guardians and care givers take essential precautions to ensure good health-seeking behaviour. He urged that preventive efforts such as proper nutrition, exclusive breast feeding, hand-washing and routine immunizations be emphasized to avoid pneumonia.

Stressing that pneumonia is a killer Prof Olowu called on government, relevant agencies and stakeholders to make concerted efforts that would significantly improve on the health of children.

Dr. Amina Biobaku of Isalu Hospital, Ogba, Lagos, one of the numerous beneficiaries of the PAN medical education programs on pneumonia supported by Sanofi, testified that the training has positively impacted her clinical practice.

Estelle Dogbo, Product Manager at Sanofi said: “The Pediatrics Initiative which adapts healthcare offer to children relies on three commitments. The first commitment is the development of medicines and vaccines offer adapted to pediatric care. The second commitment involves provision of quality medical information and dedicated training to healthcare professionals by way of continual medical education programs in pediatric topics. The third commitment entails the deployment of awareness campaigns to the general public.

World Pneumonia Day provides an annual forum for the world to stand together and demand action in the fight against pneumonia. More than 100 organizations representing the interests of children joined forces as the Global Coalition against Child Pneumonia to hold the first World Pneumonia Day on November 2, 2009. Pneumonia is a preventable and treatable disease that sickens 155 million children under 5 and kills 1.6 million each year. This makes pneumonia the number 1 killer of children under 5, claiming more young lives than AIDS, malaria, and measles combined. World Pneumonia Day helps to bring this health crisis to the public’s attention and encourages policy makers and grassroots organizers alike to combat the disease.
