Nkiru Sylvanus "'The Voice" Set to be premiered
A date has been set for the premiere of Nkiru Slyvanus’ new film ‘The Voice’ which also stars Kenneth Okolie, Betty Njoku-Olumowe and many others. The movie was written and directed by Afe Olumowe.
The premiere is set for July 13th and will take place at the Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos. The movie is about a lady, Sandra Onaivi played by Nkiru, who has been told by a stranger that she had just 90 days left to live on earth. Three unusual signs are given to confirm this and they happen as for told.

#BringBackOurGirls: Norway Supports Cause with N259 Million
This is what they call putting your money where your mouth is. The Norweigan government is allocating $1.6 million (over N259 million) to the #BringBackOurGirls cause.
Specifically, the funds will go towards promoting safe schooling in the Northern part of Nigeria and helping communities affected by the abductions, Skandik Afrik, reports.
Børge Brende, Norweigan Minister of Foreign Affairs, has expressed that Norway will also consider providing humanitarian assistance for the refugees and internally displaced people in the area.

The 2014 Billboard Music Awards kicked off Sunday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Michael Jackson performed. Well, it was more like a hologram of the late pop icon. The Holographic image performed “Slave to the Rhythm” as part of what the media calls the “history-making performance”.
The performance is said to be a marketing strategy for the release of Michael Jackson’s Xscape, the second album since his passing. Also, Jennifer Lopez won the BBMA Icon Award, the first woman to be honored with the accolade. Justin Timberlake was the big winner of the night, scoring 7 trophies including Top Male Artist and Top Artist. Imagine Dragons won 5 awards while Pharrell, Robin Thicke and T.I. won four trophies each.

SAD STORY!: Cleaner Stole N242m From Passenger’s Luggage At MMIA , Flees To UK
Police detectives are now on the trail of a 26 year old airport cleaner, Chibuzor Onuegbe who allegedly smuggled N242 million out of the baggage store of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) undetected. Saturday Sun learnt from the police that the stolen money was packed in a bag in US dollar denomination totalling $1.5million which belongs to a middle aged woman (names withheld). She was said to have deposited the sum at the MMIA baggage room on October 30, 2013 for safe keeping.
She discovered that the money was missing when she wanted to pick it. After all efforts to trace the money failed, she reported the incident at the Lagos Police Command headquarters in Ikeja where the Commissioner of Police, Umaru Manko directed the Officer In-Charge of Special Anti Robbery Squad, Abba Kyari to fish out the culprits. It was in the course of investigation that three suspects were indicted for complicity – the cleaner’s accomplice Ifeanyi Francis, his girl friend Chioma Obinabor and his elder brother Kalu Faith Onuegbe. But then, the prime suspect, Chibuzor had relocated to the UK.

A trailer for 'The Vanishing Act', the film based on the Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 that went missing earlier this year, has been revealed. It's not a Hollywood production, but a movie about the Malaysian plane tragedy is in the works and should be in theaters by fall.
Rupesh Paul Productions is promoting "The Vanishing Act" among buyers at the Cannes Film Festival. A poster for it promises to tell "the untold story" of the missing plane, but in an interview Friday, the associate director of the movie, Sritama Dutta, said the only similarities between the thriller and the real-life disaster is that a plane is missing.
Boko Haram Writes School, Threatens To Abduct Male Students
The Principal of Government College, Makurdi, Godfrey Ugudu, on Saturday said the school had received letter from Boko Haram sect threatening to attack the school. Ugudu, who announced this at a news conference in Makurdi on Saturday, added that the school received two letters which had the same content on 14 May. “It is true that we saw two letters informing us of the intention of the sect to invade our school on Friday or Monday by Boko Haram.
“The letters were dated May 14, 2014, stating that they were coming either of the two days to abduct our boys whom they would marry to the secondary school girls abducted in Chibok. “In the letter, we were asked to inform the Mount Saint Gabriel Secondary School opposite us to also get prepared as they promised to invade the place too.

President Jonathan Was Never Scheduled To Visit Chibok – Abati
The Presidency yesterday denied any plan for President Goodluck Jonathan to visit Chibok, Borno State yesterday.
Over 200 secondary school girls were abducted by terrorist in Chibok over a month ago.
According to Twitter account of the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati on Friday, the was not scheduled to visit Chibok as widely reported yesterday.
