Chief Tony Anenih marked his 80th birthday yesterday, attracting the shakers and movers of Nigeria’s politics to the event in Abuja. President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Dame Patience were there to celebrate with the Octogenarian who is known for his unparalleled political magic touch. Former heads of states; Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Babangida, AbdulSalami Abubakar also attended. So was one of Chief Anenih’s top political enemy in Edo state, Governor Adams Oshiomhole (or so we were made to believe).

Beyonce had her HBO special earlier this year and now Jay Z is getting his turn. The rapper's 11-minute "Picasso Baby" performance-art project premiered on the network Friday night. The clip features the new dad's thoughts on art and shows him performing in the middle of an art gallery for some of his famous friends.
Mark Romanek directed the clip and it's definitely not what you might expect from the rapper, but it's kind of awesome. Enjoy

Nigerian Striker Michael Eneramo to earn €1.2m per yr with Besiktas
Congrats to our Nigerian striker Michael Eneramo who will be making €1.2 million close to 300million naira every year as he has signed a 2 year deal with Turkish side, Besiktas. He will also earn €10,000 per-match bonus.

Michael Eneramo has agreed terms with Beşiktaş. Eneramo will earn €1.2 million per-season in addition to a €10,000 per-match bonus. In addition to this, Eneramo will earn the same salary in 2014-15 and 2015-16 if selected for the squad over 30 times over the course of each season.” The 27-year-old striker played for Turkish side Sivasspor for a year and a half before joining Besiktas

Saudi Arabia sentenced a blogger “Raif Badawi” to 600 lashes and 7 years in prison for insulting Islam. (Beirut) – A Jeddah court on July 29, 2013, convicted a liberal activist of violating Saudi Arabia’s anti-cybercrime law and sentenced him to 600 lashes and seven years in prison. The Criminal Court found Raif Badawi, the founder of the Free Saudi Liberals website, guilty of insulting Islam through his website and in comments he made on television, and added three months to his term for “parental disobedience.”

PHOTOS: Fatal Accident In Awka Yesterday
This very sad accident scene happened yesterday evening, as two cars with the surname "Toyota" were struggling for a wide road. A Toyota Sienna and a Toyota Carina were involved in a serious racing game that turned out very sour and bloody along Awka express road, according to my friend, an eyewitness who sent me these photos, the black Sienna was trying to over take the pale purple Toyota but, the driver wanted to show his driving skills till "it" happened.
Their own car was just behind the two cars, so he was very much enjoying the racing competition. Everybody involved in the accident was seriously injured, the only good news is that there was a one year old baby and noting happened to the child. Praise be to Jesus... Now and forever :)
