ASUU begin indefinite strike
He made this declaration, Monday, at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) after their NEC meeting held at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State.

We are embarking on indefinite strike nation wide because the Federal Government reneged in the Memorandum of Understanding MoU signed with ASUU in 2009 to pay lecturers their earn allowance.According to Fagge, the Federal Government, in 2009 made a law to pay each lecturers N12,500 per
month as allowance which it never did since 2009.

15 lecturers demoted for having faked Ph.D degrees certificate in Ebonyi

ABAKALIKI — NO fewer than 15 lecturers of Ebonyi State College of Education, Ikwo were weekend, demoted over alleged involvement in certificate forgery and for claiming to have acquired Ph.D degrees from reputable institutions outside the country.
Management of the college, on receipt of the report and recommendations of the committee set up to look into the alleged claims by the lecturers, said the exercise was not meant to witch-hunt anybody in particular but to ensure sanity and discipline within the education sector in the state.

She gave an emotional speech celebrating same-sex marriage’s Supreme Court victories.
"I would like to thank everyone from the Supreme Court to every legislator and political leader that has ever stood with us," she said. "I am so fortunate to have been welcomed by all of you into the LGBT community and to this family … Our evolution as LGBT citizens always continues to change and we see that the further we are able to reveal and share our lives, the further we move into the hearts and minds of other Americans."

Tuface And Annie Idibia Sued For N120 Million
An Abuja based photographer, Emmanuel Okolo has filed a N120 million copyright suit against popular music star TuFace, his wife, Annie Idibia and their manager, Anthonio Anifite.
And the suit is over photographs allegedly taken at the recent traditional wedding of the musician and his wife in Akwa Ibom State.
Okolo is asking for six reliefs, two of which include N100 million in general damages and N20million in exemplary damages.
President Barak Obama Clashes With Senegal Over Gay Rights
President Barack Obama yesterday praised the Supreme Court’s ruling on same-sex marriage as a “victory for American democracy” but clashed with his African host over gay rights in a sign of how far the movement has to go internationally.
Obama said recognition of gay unions in the United States should cross state lines and that equal rights should be recognized universally. It was his first chance to expand on his thoughts about the ruling, which was issued on Wednesday as he flew to Senegal, one of many African countries that outlaw homosexuality. Senegalese President Macky Sall rebuffed Obama’s call for Africans to give gays equal rights under the law.
“We are still not ready to decriminalize homosexuality,” Sall said, while insisting that the country is “very tolerant” and needs more time to digest the issue without pressure. “This does not mean we are homophobic.”

We shouldn’t use our platforms to spread half-truths.

Now how does someone else’s action become my crime? If I said those words ('Mi smoke gaja mi smoke weed while my hatez smoke ma gossip' ) I will stand by them but I didn’t, and just because it is convenient for people to believe the lies still doesn’t make it the truth. The whole thing is falsified by people who just love to have fun at other’s expense.

The show will pit 12 up-and-coming designers against each other as they compete to craft the most creative, fashion-forward looks for entertainment's A-list talent.
