World Bank To Spend $300m For Mortgage Infrastructure In Nigeria

The World Bank is to partner Nigeria to develop a sound mortgage financing structure that would deliver affordable houses to Nigerians.

The multilateral institution is to provide financial access and liquidity to the tune of $300 million to kick start the project.

Banks in the country are to partner government to develop a mortgage vehicle that will manage housing development in Nigeria. Government will, however, have a small share. This fact was disclosed by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minster of the Economy Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala.

Robbers Raid University Of Nigeria, Nsukka Female Hostel

Unknown persons on Thursday morning broke into a female hostel at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, carting away students belongings.

The incident occurred at Zik’s Flat Hostel, located opposite the university’s second gate
When our correspondent visited the campus, students were seen counting their losses, which they put at millions of naira. Students affected in the raid are mostly final year female students. They stated that the theft occurred while they were away in the lecture hall.

Beyonce Knowles, 31,and husband Jay-Z, 43, have just become music's first billion-dollar couple, according to the International Business Times reports.

Beyonce's recent money-spinning projects. Her Mrs. Carter tour, due to hit the UK, is tipped to bring in £89million, and promotional deals with Pepsi and retail brand H&M are also thought to be worth a healthy seven-figure sum.

On the other hand Jay-Z more than matches his wife's financial might. In 2007, he sold his Rocawear clothing line for a cool £156million and signed a £115million deal with Live Nation the following year. Now Jay z also holds stakes in the New Jersey Nets basketball team.
