This evening, President Obama made a statement about today’s explosions at the Boston Marathon.

The President explained that he had been briefed by his Homeland Security team, who are continuing to monitor the situation as it unfolds, and had "directed the full resources of the federal government to help state and local authorities protect our people, increase security around the United States as necessary, and investigate what happened."

Ex American football player, Pat Summerall dies at 82

America has just lost a personality. The Dallas Morning News reported that Summerall has passed away at the age of 82. The report said he died in the hospital where he was recovering from hip surgery.

George Allen "Pat" Summerall (May 10, 1930 - April 16, 2013) was an American football player and television sportscaster, having worked at CBS, Fox, and ESPN. Summerall is best known for his work with Tom Brookshier and then John Madden on NFL telecasts for CBS and Fox.

Gang Confesses To The Kidnap of Okonjo Iweala’s Mum

A former servant at the palace of the traditional ruler of Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State, where the mother of the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, was kidnapped has confessed that he gave the kidnappers the necessary information for the dirty job.

He said, “I’m 32 years old and I worked in the palace from 2007 to 2012 after which I left because the pay [my salary] was too little. A friend of mine approached me and told me that I could make a lot of money if I gave kidnappers information on how to get into the palace.”The suspect, Chiejine Onochie, told Punch that although the kidnappers collected N13m as ransom before the 83-year-old Prof. Kamene Okonjo was released last December, he was not given any money and therefore, was not culpable.

Uganda To Ban Miniskirts & TV stations from Displaying Sexy Things

The Ugandan government is proposing legislation that would forbid women from wearing miniskirts in public, according to the Mail & Guardian, a South African newspaper. Women could be arrested for donning skirts above the knee if the law is passed. to reduce rap and sexual assult

Many Ugandans are opposed to the legislation and are expressing their discontent through the Twitter hashtag, #SaveMiniSkirt.

The government-sponsored anti-pornography bill would also ban many films and TV dramas and all pornography. It “proposes that anyone found guilty of abetting pornography faces a 10m shillings (£2,515) fine or a maximum of 10 years in jail, or both” according to The Guardian.

Also Popular entertainers, including Beyoncé and Madonna, would be banned from television for being scantily-clad. “We are saying anything that exposes private parts of the human body is pornography and anything obscene will be outlawed. Television should not broadcast a sexy person.

Four people are reportedly dead in an accident as a Hilux truck that fell into Majidun river in Ikorodu, Lagos. The van belongs to the Ikoyi Golf Club in Lagos. Kolawole Ahmed  the Golf Club manager was driving when the ugly incident happened he was heading home from work around 5:30am

The Emergency officials that reported at the scene said no person survived, they also promised to continue searching.

Moses Obi-Adigwe wins Nigerian Idol season 3

Its been 6 six months since th search for the Nigerian Idol began. Today  a wiinner has emerged. The third edition of Nigerian Idol the TV reality show has come to an end with 22-year-old Moses Obi-Adigwe declared as winner! popularly called ‘Teddy Bear’ made his way to the Top 12 through the wild card selection.

The good news is; Moses is the first male contestant to win the show, he will now join Timi Dakolo (West Africa Idol, 2007), Yeka Onka (Nigerian Idol, 2011) and Mercy Chinwo (Nigerian Idol, 2012) in the league of Idols winners. And he goes home with the sum of 15M Naira and a brand new SUV.

Debbie, the runner-up walks away with sum of 1M and a KIA RIO automobile. Congrats to them!!!

Just yesterday Reebok dropped William Roberts (a.k.a 'Rick Ross')." as an official spokesman because of his for Date-Rape Lyrics, the rapper finally issued a formal, more sincere apology over lyrics in his new song "U.O.E.N.O" that referenced date rape.

I believe in love. Love is the reason for our existence. It’s really not enough if you want to get something done, you have to do  away with that emotion and be real.

Are you  religious?
I’m from a religious background. I ‘m  an Anglican and all the moral teachings I learnt while I was growing up  are still  there till date. While I was seven, I was a member of my church choir . I attended an Anglican school, Archdeacon Memorial Grammar School, it’s a convent school. I’m quite religious.

AY Comedian, Ama K. Abebrese & Dakore Egbuson to Host AmaAwards 2013

As the clock continues to tick towards the 2013 edition of the African Movie Academy Awards holding in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State on April 20, the organisers have unveiled hosts for the event. Two Nigerians, Dakore Egbuson and Ayo Makun,  will join their Ghanaian counterpart, Ama Abebrese for the job, at the edition that marks AMAA’s return to its ‘home’, Bayelsa,  where it was held for years until 2102 when Lagos flirted with it.

For Dakore, it is another home-coming, since she hails from the same oil-rich state as President Goodluck Jonathan. While Ama K. Abebrese  a British television presenter, producer and actress of Akan origin in Ghana, will also be in action, it is AY that is expected to drive the treat, based on his pedigree as a comedian.

Facebook Boss Mark Zuckerberg to visit Akwa Ibom, Nigeria

Mark Zuckerberg the founder of Facebook is coming to Nigeria  to visit Akwa Ibom next month, according to a non governmental group, The Niger Delta Young Professionals

This announcement was made by the Chairman of the group, Mr Moses Siasia, when he paid a courtesy visit on Gov. Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom on Friday. He said that Zuckerberg had been invited as one of the guest speakers during his groups youth economic summit, scheduled to hold in Uyo from May 28 to May 29.

WEIRD: 18-Month Old Girl Suffering From Severe Hydrocephalous

These heartbreaking pictures show a rural Indian girl of just 18 months old suffering from hydrocephalus, a build up of fluid inside the skull. The family of Roona Begum, from the village of Jirania in India’s north-eastern state of Tripura, cannot afford to pay for her to be treated. Her father Abdul Rahman, 26, works in a brick factory, where he earns the equivalent of just N434 a day.

Babies who are born with hydrocephalus would normally require prompt surgical treatment to avoid being left permanently disabled. But without the means to pay for a doctor, Mr Rahman and his family can only do their best to keep Roona comfortable as they watch her condition slowly and inexorably deteriorate. Sometimes misleadingly known as water on the brain, hydrocephalus is caused by a build-up of the cerebrospinal fluid inside the skull, increasing pressure on the brain inside.

Both of them has denied this out right .Iyanya's manager, Ubi franklin said "We are not going for BBA, and Iyanya or our team hasn't been contacted by anybody to participate in such"

 Dammy krane's management as well  denied knowing about such and even if they were contacted, Dammy krane would not go.
