PHOTOS: Zenith Bank Marina Gutted By Fire

The building housing the Zenith bank located on Marina street, beside UBA house, Lagos went up in flames at about 8.30am Saturday. Report say the Fire service attached to the UBA house promptly sprung into action to quell the fire. Sources confirmed that the State Fire service has also arrived at the scene, about the time this report was filed. More updates later

Helicopter Crashes In Central London

A helicopter has crashed into a crane in Vauxhall, south London, plummeting into the ground and sending a thick column of smoke into the air.

The crash involved two cars and an unknown number of people, London Fire Service said.

The helicopter is believed to have plummeted straight into the ground just off a main road. Flames and a huge column of black smoke could be seen near the River Thames.

Pastor Adeboye in his usual style gave a motivational sermon bordering on a miraculous story about a journey he was involved in. The story I am told had been narrated a number of times previously.

Pastor Adeboye was coming from Onitsha during the petrol crises when he realized he needed to buy petrol, but there was no petrol in Onitsha. He decided he would try Asaba, but found out also, there was no petrol in Asaba. Continuing his journey, he hoped to buy petrol on reaching Benin, but to his amazement also found out there was no petrol station open for business in Benin, Pastor Adeboye undaunted finally thought he would find petrol to buy at Ore.

Nigerian First Lady Heading To Spain For Treatment

Our first Lady, Patience Jonathan, is going to Germany and Spain in a few days for medical check up, she returned to Nigeria last year after staying for so long at one German hospital, I heard she was suffering from all kind of diseases, but later concluded that its Cancer of the uterus.

Now she is officially headed for Spain and Germany to ready her fit enough so that she can attend an African First ladies event  scheduled for Addis Ababa later in the month. (money is good) the funny thing is that its the same hospital that our former  First Lady, Stella Obasanjo, tragically lost her life in a cosmetic surgery operation in 2005. Maybe its a hospital for First ladies, don't know.
