A man reportedly died on the spot after his head got trapped and crushed crushed to a pulp when the rear tyres of a truck rolled backwards and crushed his  head to a pulp.

Reports say the unidentified man, a mate to the driver of the haulage truck with Registration Number XT 727 LSR was trying to place a wedge behind the tyres when they rolled over him, squashing his head which caused his body twitching as blood was gushing out  of where his head was and which was now a mess of brain and bones.

6 killed in accident on Abuja-Lokoja road



The accident occurred in Karara village at 11.10 a.m.
The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, in Kogi has confirmed the death of six people in an accident that occurred on Tuesday on the Lokoja-Abuja road.

The state FRSC Sector Commander, Garba Mohammed, said in Lokoja that the accident occurred in Karara village at 11.10 a.m.

Dele Giwa’s mother to be buried on February 9th


The late Elekia Giwa will be buried on February 9.
The family of late Dele Giwa has fixed February 9 as the “tentative” date for the burial of their mother, Elekia Giwa.
Ms. Giwa, 87, passed away at about 5 a.m. on Tuesday after a brief illness at a hospital in Ikorodu, Lagos.

President Goodluck Jonathan has again lashed out at ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, describing him as a confused man unstable in his views regarding government’s handing of the protracted Boko Haram insurgency.

Mr. Jonathan, who spoke through his spokesperson, Reuben Abati, was reacting to Mr.  Obasanjo’s comment in a CNN  interview that the president had been deploying excessive force and exploring little or no dialogue in solving the Boko Haram problem.

Morning everyone, Little brain teaser for y'all Winner gets a surprise from me :)

If I saw a Movie for 97K and wanted to buy it, took 50k from dad and 50k from mum making it a 100k, after buying I have 3k left. I gave them 1k each and have 1k all to myself now owing them 49k 49k, that's 98k plus the 1k I have that's 99k altogether.. What happened to the remaining 1k that will make it a 100k??

Isaiah Ibeh, the Dean of the School of Basic Medical Science of the University, said in Benin that the herbal drug has undergone “series of successful tests”.

60 suspected oil thieves arrested in Lagos

Officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDCs, have arrested 60 persons suspected of siphoning petrol from oil pipeline at Majidun area of Ikorodu, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.
Tapping fuel illegally from pipelines is common at Majidun, a suburb of Lagos, where villagers specialize in oil bunkering, raking in millions of naira from the illegal deal.

Man Sets 6 Co-Workers On Fire

A Nigerian factory worker at Amuwo Odofin, Moses Ayogu,  has been arrested by the police in Lagos State, for allegedly setting six of  his colleagues on fire,  leading to the death of two of them and seriously injuring  four others, now on admission  in the hospital.

According to the police prosecutor, the two victims who died in the fire attack are Lawrence Onyejekwe and John Omeren while four others, Chijioke Anayo, Titus Terkuve, Hope Effiong and Emmanuel Philip were badly burnt.
