After giving away $28 billion, Bill Gates is no longer the third-richest man in the world.

He’s the second-richest.
You read that right. Despite his considerable, praiseworthy charity work, the Microsoft cofounder is getting wealthier.

In 2012, he wound up $7 billion ahead with a net worth of $63.4 billion, according to Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index published today.

The Okoye brothers, Peter and Paul, were allegedly detained at a Kampala five-star hotel over unpaid bills after a recent performance. The two had just performed at a concert dubbed Chop my Money before the ugly incident occurred.

According to the promoter, who was in charge of the event, the group was paid for the performance, accommodation and transport according to the signed contract. However, their personal bills went beyond the agreed limit, hence the stand off.

“We will not set our feet back in Uganda,” the brothers are quoted to have vowed. Am not quite sure of this info though but there are strong reasons backing it up

A 28-year-old photography student from Nigeria allegedly committed suicide after jumping off the second floor of his rented accommodation in Sector 41. Police said preliminary probe suggests that the deceased, Kelvin Lakoju, was in depression.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Embassy and the deceased’s family have been informed about the incident.

Organisers of the annual Big Brother Africa reality TV show have announced that auditions for the 2013 edition of the show will begin in January 2013.

Managing Director of M-Africa, Biola Alabi, says the  next edition will feature housemates whose activities will provide the audience with happiness, hope, anxiety, friendship, love, arguments and fights. 2 Suspects Caught With Drugs At Lagos Airport
