After releasing his debut album ‘Superstar’ Ayodeji ‘Wizkid’ Balogun hasn’t looked back. Scoring number one hits, collaborating with international acts, winning world recognized awards and working up his way to A-list status, his nickname ‘Starboy’ might now be looking like an understatement.

In this exclusive interview, the 22-year-old tells about his experiences performing overseas, working with Akon, Wale, Young Jeezy, and why he feels he’s with the best team.

Alicia Keys sued over 'Girl on Fire'

Alicia Keys is facing a legal battle with a songwriter who has accused her of plagiarizing part of her hit single "Girl on Fire."

Songwriter Earl Shuman, whose music has been performed by stars including Tom Jones and Barbra Streisand, filed a copyright infringement lawsuit in a California federal court last week, accusing the singer of using parts of a track he wrote in 1962 without permission. The song was a chart hit for Eddie Holman in 1970 after he recorded it as "Hey There Lonely Girl," and Shuman claims it was illegally sampled by Keys.

Lagos sacks 174 LASTMA officials

No  fewer than 174 officers of the state Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), have been sacked by the Lagos State Government for their alleged involvement in corruption, overzealousness and other crimes. 

The sack was part of moves to weed out bad eggs and reposition the authority for better service delivery and traffic management. Sources said 34 LASTMA officers were sacked two months ago over cases of corruption, fraud, overzealousness, among others.

First Lady broke Down In Tears as She Consoled Mrs Yakowa

The First lady of Nigeria yesterday visited Mrs Amina Yakowa, wife of the late Kaduna state governor, Patrick Yakowa.

Dame patience Jonathan could not controls her tears as she consols Mrs Yakowa and her children over the death of her husband in the helicopter crash, last weekend.

“I am sorry I am crying because I am a woman. I know what she (Amina) is passing through. It’s quite unfortunate that we lost a peaceful and supportive man, a man who was always filled with joy.“My only advice to you my friend is that you should take heart, have faith in God because only God can comfort and protect you and your kids.”

Washington Legalizes Same Sex Marriage

According to Reuters
The same sex marriage took effect in Washington on Thursday and officials geared up for marriage license applications for gays or lesbians that are ready to exchange vows.

Washington made history last month as one of three U.S. states where marriage rights were extended to same-sex couples by popular vote, joining Maryland and Maine in passing ballot initiatives on November 6 recognizing gay nuptials.

Helicopter Crashes In Bayelsa State

I wasn't surprised to see Davido, or Chelsea emerging as top trending artists and top trending football teams respectively but I must confess I was surprised with Mercy Johnson emerging as top trending Nollywood artist. Dbanj and Tnto Dikeh both coming up as third in their respective areas seems quite amusing as well, seems they got what they want creating all those controversies.
