The Silver Jubilee celebration of uncommon transformation of Akwa-Ibom State had plenty of activities but one event that made the jubilee celebration, the centre point of class and excitement was Monty Fun Festival, which will be long lasting in the memory of people of the ‘the land of promise’.
Top of the roll call were Wizkid, Iyanya, Chidinma, Gordons, Elenu, Helen Paul, Dj Jimmy Jatt, also the home ground stars Eyo of MTN Project Fame, Mish, Oga Sir, Brandiny and many more, were on hand to thrill the audience.

Mother of the Former Goalkeeper of the Super eagles of Nigeria Peter Rufai is dead.
It was learnt that Dodo Mayana was in the middle of training Kids, his youth development efforts when his elder Sister called him now that his Mother gave up the ghost following an illness.
The goalkeeping legend, who played 65 times for Nigeria scoring once, immediately halted the programme as the 1994 Nations Cup winner heads home to join his family in mourning the departed soul.

Wayne Rooney and wife Coleen expecting second baby
Footballer Wayne Rooney and his wife Coleen are "thrilled" to be expecting their second child, she announced.
The TV presenter revealed the news on Twitter, telling her 840,000 followers that the baby is due in May.
The couple already have a son, Kai, who was born in November 2009.
Mrs Rooney last night tweeted: "A few people guessed, so news is out ha!! Me wayne and Kai are thrilled that we are expecting a new addition to our family around May time x."

M.I Composes Poem For Murdered UNIPORT students
Nigeria’s talent rapper Jude Abaga popularly known as M.I has condemned the killings of the 4 University of Port-Hacourt students who were beaten and burnt alive in front of a crowd.
The young men were accused of stealing laptops and mobile phones before being burnt to death. In reaction to this, M.I wrote the poem below:

Nicki Minaj and Rihanna lead the nominations for the 2012 American Music Awards (AMAs).
The two singers are each in the running for four awards, with Drake, Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, One Direction and Usher following narrowly behind with three nods apiece. Justin, Rihanna, Maroon 5, Drake and Katy Perry will battle it out for the coveted Artist of the Year prize, while J. The song titled ‘Su mo mi’ features Banky W, Skales and Shaydee. The EME crew once again hooked up with Clarence Peters who shot the crew’s first video – ‘Baddest boy‘. It also features other EME acts Niyola and DJ Xclusive.
Banky posted pictures from the shoot on his Instagram page. Wizkid however doesn’t pop up in any of the photos, will he feature in the video? We anticipate!

CBN Bans Banks From Lending To Otedola, Babalakin, Dantata, & 416 Others (See Full List)
Central Bank of Nigeria last week released 419 names of individuals and businesses, and State governments that have been banned by any bank operating in Nigeria from lending to.
As expected, “King of bad debts” Femi Otedola tops the list with N192 billion (wonders if he ever sleeps), followed by Dantata, and many others.
Many other supposedly rich Nigerians made the list in flying colors with debt profiles ranging from N4 billion to N160 billion.
Don’t you all think some names are missing in these lists? #justsaying!!!
