Job Listing Statistical Information Revealed - Lagos with more than 9,700 jobs
A statistical analysis by the Potrix Media at jobberman.com team in the past two days revealed that from all the about 21,653 listed jobs, Lagos had the most number of job listings - a whopping 45% of the total listings. The more surprising thing however was the speed at which it was increasing. In just 48 hours, there were 52 new job listings, i.e. 1.083 jobs in every hour! This was a great surprise when compared to other states. Abuja for example within that time had only ten new jobs listings followed by Rivers with 4 new job listings. So Lagos did not just have 45% of the job share, but also increased about 5 times faster than the other states!
Another interesting find was that Sales and Business development was the highest demanded specialization with 5,246 job listings followed by Administration & Office Support (3,429 job listings). When analyzed by sector though, it was not too surprising to discover that the industry with the highest number of job listings was the ICT/Telecommunications Sector (2,317 listings) followed by Consulting (2,006 listings). We have prepared graphical views of our result analysis for you below based on the industry and specialization.
Conclusion: If you’re currently considering a career, this analysis provides a solid foundation for your considerations. With ICT/Telecommunications leading, it is obvious that an ICT course will e.g. Computer Science will be most relevant. Also, our statistics reveals that the importance of Business Development as well as administrative skills may be understated by the society.

SHOCKER: Psquare and May D part ways
Major moves in the Nigerian music industry today as Square Records and Northside Entertainment CEO Jude “Engees” Okoye announced via the label’s publicist Bayo Adetu that May D is no longer signed to the label.
First it was Mochedda and Knight House, then Don jazzy and Dbanj now its Psquare and May D; something is really wrong

Why We Are Holding Talks With Boko Haram – FG
The Federal Government on Wednesday said it accepted to hold dialogue with the violent Islamic sect, Boko Haram, in order to arrest insecurity in the country as soon as possible.
“We have accepted dialogue as a way of bringing the (insecurity) situation to an end as quickly as possible. We have always called on those engaging in violence to stop because violence can’t solve any problem. So we welcome the decision to dialogue,” Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, told journalists in Abuja.

ESUT VC kidnapped by gunmen
The Vice-Chancellor of Enugu State University of Technology, ESUT, Professor Cyprian Onyeji, has been kidnapped by gun men who shot his police escort. The VC was taken at the university gate by the gunmen who had reportedly been stationed outside.
According to eye witness account, the gunmen were said to have blocked the gate with their car as soon as the VC’s convoy arrived.

Nollywood actress Lilian Bach denies secret wedding news
The actress has denied reports making the rounds that she secretly got married to a man named Alaka and moved into his Lekki home a few weeks back. What she told an Encomium reporter below:
It's not a crime to be single and it's not a crime to be married. If I chose to tie the knot, it won't be a secret. For now, I am still single but if I chose to get married, my friends will be invited. I have nothing to hide and I have done nothing wrong. I am presently away but I have been receiving calls from people who are shocked as I am at the supposed breaking news of my secrets wedding. The report is false.
