"I Hate The Kitchen and I Am Very Wealthy" - Tonto Dikeh
Tonto Dike is the girl you want to cuddle and hate. On the one hand, she has this likeable personality that almost made SAMUEL OLATUNJI want to pass the night in her house and pet her to sleep. On the other hand are those movie roles that make mothers snatch the television remote control from their kids.Is Tonto all we see on TV, and what is her pact with cigarettes, weeds and ‘back-for-ground-money-for-hand’ moves? She bares it all on a cozy night in the comfort of her living room, alone with Sunday Sun.
Do you stay alone?
Yes, I stay alone.
You stay alone in this big building, don’t you get scared or lonely?
I don’t get scared. Sometimes I’m lonely, but I have friends that come over to hook up with me sometimes.
Does that not mean the celebrity world is lonely out there?
Yes, it is a very lonely world, but you get to have a lot of fun and sometimes you could be bored.
Why do you still want to be a celebrity?
I just love my job, being a celebrity doesn’t really matter; it’s just the interest and love for the job.
Sometimes, when it does get really lonely, what do you do?
I try to make myself come out of it. I think positively in everything thereby bringing the best out of me, and basically I just don’t ever want to fail, so that’s another reason why no matter how lonely I get, I just want to keep doing my job and doing it well each day.
100-yrs-old woman, another burnt to death
The death of a 100-year-old landlady, Mrs. Christiana Ugutanyin, in a fire incident in Ajegunle, Lagos, would have been prevented if electricity supply in the country was stable. The inferno also resulted in the death of one of her tenants, Mrs. Esane Aburimo while others, including a little boy, sustained injuries.
Eyewitnesses told the Daily Sun how the last floor of the one-storey building went up in flames, following power surge from the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) facilities. Another possible reason for the death of the old woman was said to be the failure on the part of the Federal Fire Service and the Lagos State Fire and Safety Services to arrive the scene on time.

Michael Jackson: Doctor’s trial focuses on final moments
![]() |
| Dr. Murray (middle) in court |
Lab results presented Thursday at Dr. Conrad Murray’s involuntary manslaughter trial show that Michael Jackson’s fingerprints were not found on medical evidence taken from his bedroom at a rented Holmby Hills mansion.
But investigators were not able to lift prints from several pieces of medical evidence — nine bottles of propofol, a syringe, IV tubes and sedative vials — and a set of mystery prints was found on other items. Prosecutors read a statement, written with defence attorneys, that informed jurors a lack of prints didn’t necessarily mean the evidence wasn’t handled.
Who touched the medication bottles and other medical evidence is important because prosecutors are trying to prove Dr. Murray administered the powerful anesthetic propofol, then failed to monitor his patient. But the defence argued that it was Jackson, not Murray, who administered a fatal dose of propofol June 25, 2009 — the day the King of Pop died.
A coroner’s report cited “acute propofol intoxication” in Jackson’s death. Defence attorneys hammered LA county coroner’s investigator Elissa Fleak, the first witness on the stand Thursday, with questions about the investigation in Jackson’s bedroom.
Dr. Murray’s defence attorney, Ed Chernoff, questioned whether a “substantial number of mistakes’’ had been made during the investigation in Jackson’s bedroom. Fleak denied doing anything wrong, but said she handled a syringe found on the bedroom floor.

But the policemen who busted the kidnappers may have embarked on a suicide mission. A police source who spoke with Crime Guard, said the officers invaded the kidnappers’ den with a very small cacheof ammunition.
authorized to speak to the press on the issue, said mobile policemen from Mopol 2, who carried out the rescue operation had just two pistols with them. “ I’m sure they weren’t expecting any form of resistance from the kidnappers.
I am sure they have been engrossed in the popular notion that kidnappers were often not properly armed. But they got exceedingly shocked when they discovered those caches of ammunition. I was told that the police officers who were in their small numbers invaded the kidnappers’ den with just two pistols. One of them even told me that they embarked on a suicide mission.
