Missing Manhood : Man Sent To Prison For Raising False Alarm Over Missing Organ
He was accused of raising false alarm over his missing manhood.
Abdulahi raised the false alarm that his manhood got lost as a result of a handshake with Michael Eneh, a claim he knew was untrue.
The police alleged in the suit that the accused on 3 September, 2011 at about 1100hours at Idumagbo Avenue, Lagos Island, Lagos, made a statement to the police at Adeniji Adele Police Division that his manhood disappeared after Michael Ene shook hands with him.
But when he was taken to the hospital for examination, the doctor on duty declared that there was noting wrong with him and that his manhood was functioning normally.
The victim, it was learnt, allegedly raised an alarm that his penis suddenly became smaller than it was before Ene shook hands with him, but before the situation could degenerate into a fight, the elders in the area advised the youths who wanted to lynch the suspect not to take the law into their own hands but that he should be taken to a nearby hospital where doctors disapproved the claims of Abdulahi.
The matter was reported to the police at Adeniji Adele Police Division and after investigation, Ibrahim was arraigned before the Igbosere Magistrate’s Court.
The offence, according to the prosecutor ASP Julius Oyakhilome, is punishable under Section 219(d) and 192 of the Criminal Code.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge and the presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Bamibiwon, granted him bail in the sum of N20,000 with one surety in like sum.
She adjourned the matter till 20 October, 2011 for mention.
The accused was remanded in Ikoyi Prison when he could not perfect his bail condition.

As B tries to sit down, her bump seemingly folds inwardly. She however remains calm.

Women protest against rape in Enugu
The angry women stormed the office of Umuada Igbo Nigeria, a Non Governmental Organisation, alleging that some boys between the ages of 17 and 25, had formed the habit of raping old women of between 60 and 80 years, and even the blind.
The women, who came in three buses told members of Umuada Igbo Nigeria that out of the 13 rape victims, one died as a result of excessive bleeding induced by the injury she sustained when she was raped in turns for more than three hours by the sex maniacs.
During the peaceful protest, which lasted for more than five hours, the women appealed to members of Umuada Igbo Nigeria to intervene without delay in order to save them from further harassment as they could no longer sleep with their two eyes closed.
They said the case which started in April this year had already been reported to the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Enugu State police command.

50 Lawyers To Defend Two Young Men Awaiting Amputation For Stealing Cow
No fewer than 50 lawyers have reportedly indicated their interest to defend the two young men in Zamfara State that are billed to have their wrists amputated free of charge.
Auwah Abubakar Tsanre (23) and Lawwali Musa Tsanre (22), were found guilty by an Upper Sharia Court in Gusau for stealing a cow valued at N130,000, belonging to one Alhaji Bawa Dangande.
A rights activist, Mr Anthony Agboh, told Saturday Tribune in Gusau that the lawyers were contacted by civil organisations in the state in connection with the case.
He said the rights groups believed their conviction was an error.

UK Internet Providers to Allow Customers to Block All Pornography
Internet service providers in the UK will offer new customers the choice of blocking all pornography through their connection. The ISPs insist that the optional 'porn filter' will not affect anyone who does not wish to opt in.
The four largest Internet service providers in the UK will soon allow customers to block all pornography, or to purposefully choose to see the sexually explicit material, reports the Guardian. The controversial move is part of the government’s attempts to cut down on Internet pornography.
UK Prime Minister David Cameron will announce the new guidelines during meetings with theMother’s Union, which has launched a mission earlier this year, laid out in a proposal known as the “Bailey report,” which aims to protect children from graphic adult images and video online. The prime minister is also expected to unveil a list of other actions proposed by Mother’s Union, which is a Christian charity organization.
The ISPs involved are BT, TalkTalk, Virgin and Sky.
While it was initially reported that the ‘porn filter’ would automatically apply to all 17.6 million UK broadband customers served by the four ISPs unless users explicitly chose to allow through pornography, the companies quickly refuted that claims.
“This is called ‘active choice’ rather than an opt-in or opt-out,” a spokesperson for TalkTalk told theGuardian. Another source at a different ISP said that the filter will not be turned on by default, and only new customers will have to decide one way or another.
Because relatively few new customers sign up for Internet service through these four ISPs, the pornography filter will only affect a small number of customers.
To lay out more clearly the intentions of the optional censorship, the four ISPs issued a joint statement, which reads:
“BT, Sky, TalkTalk and Virgin Media are pleased to have developed and agreed a code of practice, including measures to ensure that customers are provided with an active choice as to whether to activate parental controls in the home.
“The four Internet service providers have worked closely with government and a range of stakeholders to swiftly introduce measures addressing recommendations set out in the Bailey report.
“The ISPs have committed to improve the way they communicate to customers, enabling parents to make simple and well-informed choices about installing and activating parental controls and other measures to protect children online. The four ISPs are working with parents’ groups and children’s charities on this important initiative and will continue to do so.”
In addition to the creation of the optional ‘porn filter,’ a new website, ParentPort, will allow users to complain about television programming, advertisements and products for children that they deem inappropriate.
The Bailey report, named after the organization’s chief executive, Reg Bailey, also asked the government to prevent retailers from selling “sexy” clothing for children.
Court jails bachelor 4 years for seducing married woman
The court presided over by Chief Magistrate, Isa Mohammed convicted Attahiru Umar Sade, a bachelor.
The husband of the woman Suleiman Bello through his lawyers, UB Darazo, Auwal Ibrahim and Jibrin Sa’id Jibrin filed a direct criminal complaint before the court against the accused.
Bello alleged that sometimes in July 2010, Umar Sade started wooing his wife Mars Munira Mohammed in an unlawful way suggestive of his intention for a love relationship and she reported the matter to him.
Bello told the court that when he heard the complaint, he approached the man and warned him to desist from any kind of interaction with his wife, and moved his wife from their former house at Danjuma Goje to Federal Low cost in order to blocked him from her.

Bomb scare in Abuja
