Prostitutes Sell Sperm To Ritual Killers In Abuja

Randy men in Abuja stand the chance of having their semen taken away and sold to ritual killers by commercial sex workers who have laid siege to the city.

This demonic practice may have been responsible for the woes suffered by some men including sterility, erectile dysfunction, marital crisis, failure in business and even death, said observers.

Our correspondents reported that some prostitutes with condoms filled with fresh semen were arrested by officials of the Abuja Environmental Protection Board (AEPB), while raiding some red light areas of the city.

A total of 104 suspected commercial sex workers have been arrested for prosecution during raids carried out by the board in collaboration with the Society Against Prostitution and Child Labour (SAP-CLN)

SAP-CLN is an Abuja-based non-governmental organization involved in the rehabilitation of prostitutes and street children.

An AEPB official, who pleaded anonymity, said some of the commercial sex workers were found with condoms containing fresh male semen after they were picked from the streets. He said the recoveries of the used condoms were made when officials searched bags brought in by the commercial sex workers.

Other items recovered include Benelyn cough syrup laced with codeine, Indian hemp, cigarettes and Dunlop Plastic Solution, an adhesive used in vulcanizing tires.

He said, “It is a recurrent thing here. We find condoms with sperm when we search their bags. The necks of the condoms are tied to prevent the contents from spilling and are carefully wrapped in toilet tissue.

“We also found Benelyn cough syrup, marijuana, cigarettes and an adhesive used by vulcanizers in fixing tyres. Some of them become very wild after taking drugs and one has to be careful when going for the raid.”

A commercial sex worker, who gave her name simply as Joy, told our correspondent that the semen found with some of her colleagues were secretly taken away after they had sex bouts with their patrons.

In an attempt to extract the semen from unsuspecting male “clients,” she said, commercial sex workers exhibit extraordinary care and sex appeal, attributes which, she further claimed, caused many men to lose their guard.

As soon as the man gives in fully to the pleasure of the illicit affair, she said, the prostitute moans and screams wildly in fake ecstasy thereby setting the stage to carry out her mischief.

But where the male “client” refuses to succumb to the trappings of the fake expression of passion, she said, the girl would rub fetish powder on her nipples and offer them to the man to suck. After sucking the breasts, the man loses consciousness and the sex worker would steal all his valuables and collect his semen.

She said some of her colleagues also use drugs to knock out some of their patrons and entice them into having sex in a semi-conscious state. She said: “After pulling the condom, the girl would go into the bathroom and flush the tissue she used in cleaning the man while tying the neck of the condom.

“She would tie the neck of the condom to avoid spillage and carefully hide it away until she is ready to go. Sperm is a very hot thing for people, who use it for medicine. I don’t know how much they sell it because am not into that kind of line.

“But I know that a lot of girls do it and they make so much money from it. I don’t want to carry somebody’s blood because I don’t know what the juju priest will do with someone’s sperm. I only do ashawo (prostitution) business. I don’t sell sperm.”

But determined to stamp out the criminal practice, the Federal Capital Territory Administration, through the AEPB, has launched an operation to dislodge prostitutes from the city.

The operation, which is carried out in collaboration with the Society Against Prostitution and Child Labour (SAP-CLN) has led to the arrest of 104 commercial sex workers in various parts of the city during three raids.

At the raid which was carried out on Thursday, September 29, a total of 44 suspected prostitutes where arrested and held for prosecution.

However, on Monday, October 3, the team arrested another 33 suspected commercial sex workers, while 26 suspects were arrested during another raid on Thursday, October 6.

The operation is carried out based on the provision of Section 35 (1g) of the AEPB Act No. 10 of 1997, which prohibits sex trade in the capital city.

The suspects were arraigned before a mobile court presided over by Mr. Aminu Abdulahi, a magistrate with the FCT.

Out of the 44 suspects that were arrested during the September 29 raid, a total of 31 pleaded guilty to the charge, while 13 pleaded not guilty and were granted bail.

About 16 convicts who could not afford a fine of N5, 000 as stipulated in the AEPB law were sent on one-month imprisonment at Suleja Prison.

However, 13 other convicts, who could afford the stipulated fine, were sent for rehabilitation at the SAP-CLN center located in Sabo Lugbe, off Umaru Yar’Adua Way.

Out of the 33 suspects arrested on Monday, October 3, five of the suspects were released on bail, four were freed after they were screened and an undertaking extracted from them by the court.

The remaining 25 people pleaded guilty to the charge and were accordingly convicted but only seven were sent to Kuje Prison, while 17 paid fine and opted for rehabilitation.

The coordinator of SAP-CLN, Mrs. Grace Adogo, said the organization was touched by the plight of the commercial sex workers who were sent to prison.

She said a lot of the commercial sex workers saw what they did as business and not as a criminal activity. Adogo recounted the story of an inmate who, after spending one month at the rehabilitation centre, suddenly stripped herself and shouted on top of her voice that she could no longer cope.

According to her, the inmate said she used to sleep with several men in a day and send some of the proceeds home for the upkeep of her family.

She said, Our security men ran away on sighting her. “She shouted that she should be released immediately and we did, because we couldn’t keep her against her wish. She said she used to sleep with several men in a day and could not continue to cope without seeing a man.

“She told me that her mother called and said she had lost so much revenue during the one month she was in the center and that she should come out and continue the business. The girl went back home.”

A message from Nigerian gay man Okechukwu Kingsley Uba

A few days ago, we broke the news that Nigerian gay man Okechukwu Kingsley Uba opened a gay entertainment company in Abia State, Nigeria, and today, the proudly gay Okechukwu paid a visit with a message for us. In his message to us Okechukwu says:
“All this publicity is great.

It seems compliments have been pouring in from the Nigerian gay community commending Okechukwu on his new venture. One of the friends who complimented him is Tony Evar Blazing, another gay man who operates men’s Sauna at Blowbuddies in Lagos Nigeria. And in his reply to Tony’s compliment, clearly excited Okechukwu says:

“Thank you Tony. It has been a lot of hard work, but it is now paying off. We have lots of new customers now from all this publicity.” He is apparently referring to our story on his new company.

SUGAR MUMMY AND I: THE BEGINNING BY THA REV

So, as I was minding my bizness as usual reading through entertainment news and stories online, I stumbled upon this nice true-story article that is full of suspense, comedy and lots of thrilling moments that will make you ask for more...The title of the story is "Sugar Mummy and I: The Beginning by Tha Rev" and if you want to relax and have fun, you can read the story below:

I’m sitting in my mum’s shop away from the busy life of Lagos (mind you, we live in the suburbs of Lagos) trying to think what next after graduation, cos this boredom is killing me like crazy. Months now since I dropped the pen after that very last exam and popping champagne and drinking booze all-night trying to believe we’ve graduated (even though we aint seen our result yet) and the thought of NYSC is still months away, does kill me (partially because I think it’s a waste of a year in your life and the suspense of not knowing if you’d be thrown in a crisis torn or technologically deprived village). Amidst this thought my phone rang…. The second ring broke my thought and on checking who it was it was Mrs. Y(name withheld).
Mrs. Y is the wife of the ambassador of Nigeria to a Caribbean country(name withheld), she has a very successful chain of boutiques and supermarkets(name withheld) and was in Nigeria most times rather than being with her husband, she has two daughters and a son, both daughters are my age group but still in some private university(name withheld).
Hmmmm….How did we meet? You might ask. I met her at a famous cinema at Yaba. I watched her daughter with great interest as she ran off to meet a friend of hers and I had to take the lift with her and in the silence of the lift, I heard a voice say “You seem to like my daughter huh?!” Trying to pretend I didn’t hear her the first time, I said “’scuse me?” Then she said “Oh! Come off it, it’s not like I dint see you staring at my Teni”, Then I chuckled “you got me there ma“.
“My name is Mrs. Y and I think I’ll be stuck to you past this elevator, you won’t mind some company would you?”
“Naaah” I said, without thinking twice.
DING, The elevator opens and after the “after you” courtesy, I now realized that she is indeed a fine woman with a J-lo kinda body. We decided to chat off at one of the eateries while we wait for our movie. I told her a little about myself and she told me a whole lot – she got married at nineteen and now thirty nine with three kids and how she knows that her husband fools around with Caribbean girls, but she can’t do anything about it because he’s ten years older.
She told me about Temi, Teni and Timi. I fell in love with her family straight away, and we kept on talking and I don’t know when or how it slipped that I’ve always wanted a sugar mummy, she picked up her bag and said;
“You haven’t found one yet, keep searching!”
Dumbfounded and confused I eased myself out of the chair to chase her down the hall, but her daughter and her friends had caught up with her and I could do nothing. I had blown it (or so I thought!). Surprisingly her daughter and friends went to see a different movie (some romantic comedy with Jennifer Aniston as a reporter who jumped bail and was hunted by her cop ex-husband) and she went to see clash of the titans, I quickly opted for the same movie, though I had seen it twice already.
As I entered the dark movie hall, trying to use the screen light to find my way to my sugar mama(oops I mean soon-to-be), I noticed her in the corner at the top corner sitting alone enjoying her movie and I went to meet her and sat beside her, after twenty minutes I decided to talk since she wouldn’t.
“Ok, so I fucked up…..I’m sorry.” She just kept on eating her popcorn and watching her movie. “Ok fine, I’d just go in front of the screen and yell I’m sorry” I continued.
She called my bluff and asked me to do it. “You know I can’t, pls I’m really sorry”
And then something crazy happened, she drew me closer and kissed me… “I have less than two hours before my kids finish their movie… Do u know a place we can be alone together?” she said.
Before I could snap outta the kiss, she thought of somewhere and said “let’s go!” We got to the lot downstairs and she threw the key of her Honda element to me and said, “You drive and I’d navigate”, I told her I wanted to get some condoms at dominos supermarket, she chuckles and asked me to hurry. Like superman, I was back at the car in seconds and we were zooming off to a cute guest house in alagomeji and I did the checking in and next we knew we were staring each other in the eye inside the loft room; not like we did not know what to do, but where to start from. I made a gesture by looking at my wrist and she jumped at me and was kissing me all over and as I begin to undress her I noticed a tattoo of a tiger on her back (she probably had a short but fun filled youth that was cut short by her marriage and pregnancy or I just might be wrong). I gently worked my way across her body (not minding the time we had left at first) and we made love three times (twice in the bedroom and once in the bathroom under the shower) and we laid the bed together whilst acknowledging each other’s prowess. We were about to leave the room when I noticed she still had her shower cap on. Oops… We got that fixed and then checked out.
We got into the car and she opted to drive back and was acting shy, I was about asking her what’s wrong when I got a call from my girlfriend asking me how my day was. “Thrilling, tiring yet satisfying” I said. She probably thought I meant it more figuratively rather literally and had a little chat about her day and she dropped the line. Mrs. Y said I was crazy for telling her what I said and we both laughed as she concluded how stupid females can be when they are in love and can’t see the obvious things (sorry ladies….she said so). She even made a joke by saying if a girl in love sees her boyfriend having sex with her sister, he can still deny it saying it’s her evil twin or it wasn’t him or the sister drugged him and she’d believe him.
We got back just in time for the credits and she introduced me to her daughter as a new friend and Teni immediately loved me but somehow Temi and I never got along fine. Teni loved my sense of humour, my looks and the fact that I had finished school, still very young and Temi didn’t believe any of those (or so I thought at first). I told them I had to leave early because the holdup I was to face on my way home. She asked me where I was headed and surprisingly, we stayed not so far from each other (who would have thought someone of their status would live in the area I stayed in) and she asked me to hop in.
I sat between Temi and Teni and I made sure Temi liked something about me. She ended up appreciating my writing skills when I showed her some of my write up on my blogsite. Teni kept complaining I was shifting the attention to Temi and I was forced to turn to her as she was showing me pictures on facebook via her nokia N97 (some crazy ass phone that has 32gigabyte. who needs that?!) and she checked mine as well and noticed my status that says “complicated” and she kept on questioning it and I asked her jokingly if she would love to fill the space. Instead of saying no, like most girls would, she asked what it will take her to fill it and jokingly I replied “Kiss me here and we are on.”
And she did lean over in an attempt to do so when I stopped her and whispered to her ears, “we’d do it where we can get our clothes off after” and she simply chuckled and nodded in agreement. I thought to myself, just in case this is not a dream, I just might have a shot at all three of them and Temi broke my thoughts by whispering to my other ear that she’s on her period that’s why she can’t afford a smile for now and she does like me a lot already so I don’t get the wrong idea about her and just then Mrs. Y said she wanted to grab some salad at the eatery and get their daily supply of waste for their dog and asked me to escort her on our way and she said;
“Thank you for playing along with my girls and when next do I see you again my baby?” It’s funny she actually thought I was playing along. “I’m at home most mornings before I go to the shop later in the day and the girls will be back in school by next weekend” she continued. At that point I wanted to opt out then she placed an envelope in my hands and said “Thanks for today and pls keep this a secret as long as you can!”

Watch out for "Sugar Mummy and I: The Envelope [pt.2] by Tha Rev" soon ...

Miss Universe Leila Lopes in another controversy in indonesia

Miss Universe 2011 Leila Lopes's visit to Indonesia has sparked controversy after allegations emerged that West Java Police paid the Angolan beauty Rp 750 million ($84,000) to attend an upcoming event. Lopes is scheduled to crown the new Miss Indonesia during the pageant on Friday night but is now also expected to be a VIP guest at the anniversary of the West Java branch of Bhayangkari (Association of the Wives of the National Police). The appearance was reportedly made possible with the cooperation of Yayasan Putri Indonesia (YPI), the organizer of Miss Indonesia and the franchise license holder of all Miss Universe’s activities in the country, and an event organizer, Viseta Global Utama.According to Viseta Global Utama’s Web site, the company provides public relations and public speaking training and is run by Coreta El Kapoyos, the wife of West Java Police Chief Insp. Gen. Putut Bayuseno.Coreta is a news anchor for state-owned television station TVRI.Police expert Bambang Widodo Umar urged National Police Chief Gen. Timur Pradopo to summon Putut over the scandal.“The National Police Chief or the chairwoman of Bhayangkari should correct the West Java Police chief or his wife and show them how best to celebrate an anniversary,” Bambang told news portal Detik.com.“The money would be better used to help low-ranking police officers or help their children go to school,” he said.A Viseta spokeswoman rejected allegations the money was sourced from the police.“The money comes from my [event organizer], from the sponsors. We didn’t ask for money from police officials,” Megi Theresia was quoted as saying on the Indonesian Police Commission’s Web site.“The tariff [to invite Miss Universe] is relative. We talked to the management but the point is, we invited Miss Universe because she is in Indonesia so it couldn’t hurt if she comes to Bandung to attend the charity night held by the West Java Police.”

Osaze sorta blames Prophet TB Joshua for Nigeria’s failure to qualify for Nations Cup

In a chat with reporters at the reception hall of the Transcorp Hilton shortly after the match, Osaze said:
Yes, I would say I am sorry to Nigerians for not playing according to expectation and I believe I did not play well in the match. But the prediction of Prophet TB Joshua really affected us.
We thought we could see him and see how he could overturn the negative prediction but the officials came with another prophet who prayed for us and told us that all was well.
But in all we did not do our own bit of the job well as players and we are not happy that we won’t play at the forthcoming Nations Cup.”

Gunmen kill PDP chief in Enugu

Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Enugu South local government area of Enugu State, Mr. Steve Ani, was shot dead by suspected assassins in Enugu Friday night.

An eye-witness account said Ani was about driving into his country home at Amechi Awkunanaw within the Enugu capital city when two young men on a motorcycle blocked his vehicle and pointed guns at him.

Before the PDP chairman could make any move, the gunmen shot him several times at close range, Sunday Vanguard learnt.

Following the gunshots, Ani was said to have lost control of the vehicle and ran into a ditch.

According to the eyewitness, while the PDP chief was screaming for help in the ditch, the gunmen pumped more bullets into his body.

The sound of gunfire forced residents to scamper for safety, leaving the victim in a pool of his own blood inside the car.

The gunmen were said to have escaped through the Amechi axis of Enugu-Port-Harcourt expressway, while policemen later recovered Ani’s lifeless body and his bullet-riddled car from the scene.

Enugu State commissioner of police, Mr. Danazumi Job Doma, confirmed the murder when contacted on phone yesterday.

Doma stated that there were indications that Ani’s death might not be unconnected with cultism.

“The incident occurred on Friday. He was driving to his house when suddenly people blocked his vehicle and immediately opened fire. They killed him on the spot. I don’t understand why people should be killing other people like rats. But we have this feeling that his death may be related to cultism and cult violence”, the police boss said. The CP said that three suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing, adding that the suspects would be charged to court if found culpable.

Hell as floods cut off Apapa-Oshodi expressway

The downpour in Lagos that started on Friday and continued till the early hours of Saturday triggered floods in some parts of the metropolis. One of the worst hit areas by the floods was Apapa-Oshodi expressway, the gateway to the nation’s busiest ports, which was cut-off at two points between Cele Bus Stop and Mile 2, effectively shutting down vehicular traffic.Scores of vehicles which attempted to wade through the floods at Coker and Jakande Bus Stops were stuck right in the middle, trapping occupants. An articulated vehicle on the Oshodi bound lane fell into a ditch as it attempted to make its way through the floods. The resultant traffic on the Apapa bound lane stretched several kilometres, from Coker Bus Stop to Cele, while the one on the Oshodi bound started from Coker, stretching past Mile 2 to Berger Yard. For many motorists and commuters, it was hell on earth. While the motorists, stuck in the traffic, resigned to fate, scores of commuters from both ends of the expressway took to trekking.Women and children among the commuters were a pitiable sight as they waded through the floods at Coker and Jakande Bus stops. Many Mile 2 bound commercial vehicles took one way from Cele to avoid the crippling traffic but ended up discharging commuters at Coker after charging twice the normal fare of N50.

Nigerians to stop use of generators soon–FG

Abuja – Vice-President Namadi Sambo has assured Nigerians that the use of generators will soon become history in view of the huge investment of government in the power sector.

Sambo gave the assurance when members of the board and management of the Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies (AES) paid him a courtesy visit at the State House in Abuja.

He said adequate measures had been put in place by the Federal Government to ensure adequate power generation, transmission and distribution, noting that Nigerians had started witnessing improved electricity supply across the country.

Sambo said only competent and reputable companies would be allowed to handle the nation’s power sector to ensure efficient and effective electricity supply.

“ I want to assure you that we are doing everything to see that by the end of the day, the power sector is handed over to competent, experienced companies that would able to meet our objectives of ensuring that we have adequate power in this country.

“We have good management of our power system, and that this issue of generators will be history.

“In this regard, we are doing everything to encourage the private sector.

“ In fact, for any private sector operator today that is ready to invest in the power sector, we will provide securitisation for the investment,’’ he said.

The vice president also said the Federal Government was doing all it could to address all security challenges to boost socio-economic activities in the country.

He said the Federal Government would also look into the possibility of partnering with state governments in ensuring surveillance to enhance security of lives and properties in the country.

According to him, government is also looking into the provision of decent accommodation for officers and men of the Nigeria Police as part of efforts to boost their morale.

In his remarks, the President of AES, Dr Ausbeth Ajagu, said the fundamental ideology behind the establishment of the academy was that Nigerians had no reason to remain poor given the rich endowments of the nation.

He called on the Federal Government to conclude the sale of PHCN to competent, technical and financially viable companies to ensure stable supply of electricity.

Ajagu also urged the government to outlaw the use of generators in all PHCN offices nationwide as a means of cutting down corruption and making the sector work.

He further stressed the need for the introduction of community policing as well as increment in manpower and operational capacity of the various security agencies. (NAN)

Uche Jombo’s Damage tours U.S

Veteran screen actress, Uche Jombo, has decided to take her message against domestic violence to another level. She has disclosed plans to take her movie, Damage, on a tour of the United States of America as part of awareness against domestic violence.

This is happening in a month regarded as ‘domestic violence month’ in the United States. Damage, which had a spectacular premiere in Lagos and London, will hit New York on October 7, Kentucky October 15, Houston, Atlanta, and Philadelphia October 21. Already, tickets for the event are on sale online: www.damagemovietickets.com.

Other places the movie will be showing include Staten Island, Minneapolis, Brookdale Cinema 8 and Fun Asia Bollywood Cinema 6. Red Carpet dates include an after party, which will be attended by members of the cast, the movie and after party tickets can also be purchased online.

When asked about her decision to take Damage on a tour of the United States, Uche said, “It is just a way of spreading the message against domestic violence, because if we look at it, it is truly a global problem. Also, apart from showing the movie in the United States, there would also be sale of merchandise, which would further spread the message to stop domestic violence. This would not only raise awareness on domestic violence, but also serve as means of raising funds that would be contributed toward the cause.

Uche Jombo, who produced the movie, also acted in it alongside some of Nollywood’s best, including Tonto Dike, Basorge Tariah Jr, and Kalu Ikeagwu. Damage presents love and domestic violence in such a manner that had never been seen in Nollywood. It is the story of a man (Kalu Ikeagwu) and his wife (Uche Jombo), who loves each other immensely, but their communication channel is flawed as there is always one thing or the other to fight about, and this has serious psychological effect on their children, which leads to irreplaceable loss.

When asked how she felt about Damage, Uche said, “I am very proud of what we have achieved, there is no better word to describe how I feel when I see the turnout of people coming to watch the movie, and I am sure all those involved in the production of the film would definitely feel the same way.”

Interview with Tiwa Savage "I was taunted in America"

She has experienced contemptuous treatment and been ridiculed on account of her slight frame. Countless times in America, when she went for auditions, this girl from Isale Eko was told she was not good looking. But somehow the constant taunting did not break her spirit or her resolve to succeed in the vocation she had chosen. Her story is like the biblical case of the stone that was rejected by the builders, which later became the corner stone. In this interview, Tiwa Savage recalls those early days and her journey to success.

What have you been up to lately?
I have been doing a lot of shows, promoting my songs and myself as a brand. Recently too, I finished my second video titled, Love me, Love Me. In addition, I have finished working on my third single, which will be released anytime from now.

You just mentioned that you have been promoting yourself as a brand, that’s great. So how did ‘Brand Tiwa Savage’ land a deal with Hennessy Artistry?
Well, I got a call from the team and they had selected a few artistes and I was fortunate to be one of them. So, they approached me and as soon as they told me I was really excited because Hennessey is a classy brand and household name. I knew it was something I would definitely love to be a part of.

Also when they told me the names of some of the other artistes – Banky W, Jesse Jags and Eldee – I was even more elated. You know these are people I greatly admire and respect in the industry.
What was it like working with other artistes to produce the song for the Hennessy brand?
It was really fun. As I said earlier, Banky W, Jesse Jags, etc, are people I really admire a lot, but I must confess that I was a little nervous initially. You know I was the newest one among them and the only female, but they made me feel very comfortable. It didn’t really take us long to compose the song because the chemistry was just instant. It was fun and it wasn’t tedious working with them.

Considering the fact that you are still fresh in the industry, how has it been so far?
It has been exciting even though I am still fresh like you said. There are a lot of things that I am still learning. I am learning how to deal with my hectic schedule. But I have been fortunate to learn so much in such a short time.

How would you describe the acceptance of your song?
I would say it was very good. The female fans really accepted it and the men loved it too. The song is doing well and getting good air time on radio. Honestly for a first song, it is really doing well. It opened a lot of doors for me.

For a person who lived overseas, how have you been able to integrate into the local music industry?
The fact is that even when I lived abroad I regularly visited home every year. My parents are still based here. I remained very connected with Nigeria and true to my culture. More importantly, I’m a Nigerian. So blending into the local music scene was not really difficult. It wasn’t really too much of a drastic change. It was really quite exciting for me to move back here.

Can you compare your experience here and abroad?
There are two different experiences. While I lived abroad I was allowed to explore music, and that was really where I learned to develop my gift and I turned it into a career. It is now that I am fully living out my dream, and deploying all the skills I learnt over there. So you could say that I am actually practicing what I learnt overseas.

If you were in America would you have done a song like ‘Kele, Kele’?
I actually did the song over there.

Don’t you think you would be better off as a musician in America than here, considering the exposure and the technical know-how over there?
I don’t know if it would have been better there. But I am a Nigerian and not American – regardless of how long I lived there, at some point I would have to move back home whether at 40 or 80 years. Notwithstanding that I lived in America, I do not see myself as an American. Or British, even though I have lived there too.

Were you born over there?
No, I was born here in Nigeria.

How old were you when you left?
I was about 10 or 11 years.

What was your growing up like?
Growing up was fun. I was the youngest and the only girl. I used to get into a lot of trouble and my mum always said I had a big mouth. Growing up among boys I got into all the boy games – in fact I was a tomboy. I would gather the other girls like me and we would make dolls. So my childhood was very creative.

What inspires your songs?
True life experiences sometimes inspire me. It could be because of what I have seen people do. But more often, God inspires. I could be sleeping and a melody would come into my head and I know that it was something supernatural and not what I thought of.

Do you write songs too?
Yes.

Have you written any song for another artiste here in Nigeria?
No, not yet because most artistes in Nigeria are very talented and gifted. And so there is really no market for a songwriter here, which is good.

Don’t you think it would be better for some of our singers to get good songwriters here?
I don’t know, but I am sure some of them do. But I must really commend our artistes they know the market, what their people want and they know what they write. Now, that is not a good thing for professional songwriters. But that is great for the artistes because they end up producing what they want, what they want to say instead of having someone else writing songs for them.

You were on X-Factor. What was the experience like?
It was bitter-sweet really. I say bitter because I didn’t get to the final stage. It was sweet because I got to experience and taste what fame could be like. Also I worked with an amazing crew, you know X-Factor is a huge franchise and over 600,000 people were auditioned. I got out to the last 16, which is amazing. It was also a blessing in disguise that I didn’t get through because I wouldn’t be able to do the kind of music that I am doing now. And I am sure that they won’t let me do a song like Kele Kele for instance. It was actually a blessing in disguise for me.

Why did you branch into music after studying business administration?
I studied business administration because my parents, like most Nigerian parents, insisted that I must get a degree, you become a lawyer, accountant, etc. So they made sure I went to school and I got a degree in something substantial.

Like an obedient child I listened and obeyed, and I am actually thankful that I did, at least I have something to fall back on. It also helps me in my music when I am reading contracts or when I am in a meeting. I am able to articulate my words and also I am educated. I know the business side and not just the music side alone and I am able of look into my affairs myself.

Did your parents ever discourage you from going into music?
No, they never did. My parents and brothers always encouraged me. They also encouraged me to get a degree. They always came to my talent competitions when I was young; even now my family members are my biggest supporters, and if my picture or story is in a magazine or newspaper they can buy like 50 copies. My mum is on Twitter, on Facebook, she follows me and my career. So they are very supportive.

One of the songs you wrote got a Grammy Award nomination. Please share the experience with us.
It was a song I wrote for Fantasia, which was nominated for the Grammy Award. That was amazing and I didn’t expect it at all.

Did you get credit for that?
Yes, I was credited for writing the song. It really encouraged me, that wow that this little skinny girl from lsale Eko could go as far as that. I am really encouraged now and the next one I want it to be my own personal nomination.

So you are also looking forward to winning the Grammy Award soon?
Definitely, it is something I am working towards. Not just for me but I want to make Nigeria proud. This not about me alone, I want to work on behalf of other artistes. I think we all collectively can work hard and be pioneers and make Nigeria cross over internationally. I mean Dbanj and Don Jazzy have already started that kind of connection, Tuface too. Internationally people are looking up to Nigeria, and they are starting to appreciate our music. And I also want to work harder to get Nigerian music well accepted internationally.

As the only girl in the family, would it be right to describe you as “Daddy’s girl”?
Well, I am both. When I was growing up I was more of a daddy’s girl but when I got older I got really close to my mum. Like my mum was the disciplinarian then, and so I would run to my dad and my dad would be ‘like don’t worry I would buy you choco milo’ and such stuff (laughs). But as I was growing up I got closer to my mum and she became truly my best friend; I could tell her about having boyfriends and stuff. Even when I got my tattoos, I told her, but unlike the typical Nigerian mother, who would have flared up, she was not upset.

Are you in any relationship now?
Right now, I am really focused on my music and so I am having a relationship with my music. We are having ‘Kele, Kele Love’

How do you handle your male fans?
A lot of people ask me that, obviously it is flattering. My schedule is so hectic, I never really get to experience this because my parents and management team have really made sure that I am grounded and stay humble. So stuff like that don’t really get to me. It doesn’t really make me have a big head.

As a woman in the music industry, which is dominated by men, how have you been able to put your foot down?
Before I moved here people thought I would only waste my time. They never believed that female artistes could make the A-List. Stubbornly I came back anyway. In just nine months, I have been able to perform with the A-List artistes. Also I have been able to have as much crowd reaction as some of the biggest male artistes today. So things are changing, although the Industry is still dominated by men, but notwithstanding it is changing.

How would you describe your relationship with other female artistes?
We are really cool. I am really close to a lot of them - Omawunmi, Waje, Sasha, Chydinma and Weird Mc. There is really no rivalry, as people would think when it comes to women. We are all really cool and it is healthy competition. We all have different styles and we target different audiences. So we support each other.

What major challenges have you faced in the Industry?
I think when I first came in, like most artistes, it was financial because it wasn’t easy traveling from one radio station to the other, trying to promote, take pictures and shoot videos. But to be honest I have been really blessed in my journey so far.

Was there a time you wanted to pull out of music?
Yes, so many times. It was not in Nigeria here but when I was in America. You know they told me when I went for auditions, that my voice was not strong enough, that I was too dark or that I wasn’t pretty enough. Those were times I thought I should listen to those people, just marry and have children and then sing in a local pub (laughs). But for some reason, I kept going, kept pushing and thank God I never gave up.

Two-day-old baby girl rescued after being buried alive

A farmer was at work in the afternoon on Thursday when he heard a baby crying. He followed the sound to discover a baby girl, who seemed to have been buried alive. She had managed to push her head above the ground.

The farmer, who is from Madhya Pradesh's Bodna village in India, rushed the child to a local hospital. Doctors believe she was 48 hours old before she was rescued.

She is now recovering well.

Minister for Education Archana Chitnis has visited the child and ordered the hospital to monitor the baby carefully. The police is trying to locate her parents. But the baby is unlikely to be returned to them.

Madhya Pradesh had the highest number of recorded cases of both female feticide and infanticide in 2009.

Below are the Top 10 Richest Nollywood Actresses of All Times. Though they have a humble beginning, they have quietly made it to the top.
1) Kate Henshaw-Nuttall –67 Million Naira
By 2006, she had earned N10 million and the following year, she reached N12 million. The warm and beautiful star is also a model, a former Glo Ambassador, and face of Onga (brand from Promasidor) and has since earned a whopping N20 million between 2008 and 2010.

2) Genevieve Nnaji – 64 Million Naira
By 2009, she raised the bar and she was paid $25,000 in the blockbuster international hit movie ‘IJE’ produced by Chineze Anyaene. A model and also a singer, she became the Face of Lux in 2004 and was subsequently involved with Pronto beverage and Omo detergent.

Between 2004 and 2006, she earned a whopping N31.3 million.

N14.7 million came from her two-year deal with Lux ($100,000). With no great interest in real estate, she decided to dive into the fashion industry. She launched her clothing line St. Genevieve in 2008 which is presently being managed by fashion icon Zizi Cardow and is reportedly worth N20 million.

There is no doubt that she would have been topping this list with a great margin if she eventually got the Glo deal. She became the first to be contacted by Globacom, but she demanded N50 million while globacom wanted to sign her on for N30 million. She’s reported to have tried later to salvage the deal, but she had already lost it.

The Enugu star is nicknamed ‘Mama G’ in Nollywood. Tuface Idibia Declares "I will never marry"

As we go through life,we all suffer betrayals.Even Jesus was betrayed by one of his disciples Judas Iscariot.I have been betrayed but I won’t want to comment about it.

It’s a path so painful that I don’t even want to go there.Just like betrayals,I have also suffered heartbreak on account of a woman.

Again,it’s better to let sleeping dogs lie.Let me just say that love is a strong force which can conquer anybody, even if you are Tuface. It happened to me long ago.

I have loved and have been loved. When it comes to love,I am as Innocent as my name Innocent Idibia.I have never come across a virgin all my life. The only person I have disvirgined is me.Myself.The fact that I have not come across a virgin does not mean there are no virgins. What I am saying is that I have never jammed a virgin.I don’t know what I will do the day I come across a virgin. Will I marry her?

The truth is marriage is not in my plans.I will never marry.Let me put it that bluntly.I don’t want to marry.I am angry.

Rihanna Says Being Single is a 'Pain in the Ass'

Love her or hate her, nothing's going to stop Rihanna from dancing drunk in her underwear as she grinds on random dudes in Barbados. She also enjoys grabbing her own butt.

But despite how much fun the singer looks like she's having, she recently revealed that she thinks being single is "a pain in the ass." In an interview with the UK version of Vogue magazine, Rihanna said:

"I need an escape because this job is way too much anyway. It's a pain in the ass coming home alone and after work to lie in a hotel bed with nobody to get you up unless its work related."

I think it's safe to say that after that whole Chris Brown thing, Rihanna might have wanted to take a break from dating. The most recent person she's been linked to was actor Colin Farrell. The two were allegedly sending each other dirty text messages, but Rihanna insists that she still unattached. She also briefly dated baseball player Matt Kemp last year. Right now, though, Riri is solo.

"It makes no sense starting something you are going to stop, so I don't want to rush into anything."

Not rushing is smart. The only problem is, she's seriously been in heat this year. From talking about spanking Britney Spears to Tweeting sh-t like, "Topless Dancers...YUMM!!! I love my job," I wouldn’t be surprised if Rihanna is spraying on furniture at this point.

"I mean it is nice being single in one way, because a relationship can feel like a chore, and that’s not good. That's not what I need."

So what does she need? Well, in an interview with Rolling Stone earlier this year, Rihanna told the mag:

"I think I'm a bit masochistic. I love feeling like I'm somebody's girl. I love to be tied up and spanked. I like to be whipped."

Someone get this woman a vibrator before she keeps going.

Despite the fact that she's single, Rihanna's career has been going awesomely. The singer recently beat out Madonna's Top 10 record. Previously, Madonna held the record for solo artist with 20 top 10 singles garnered in the shortest time. That title now goes to Rihanna. Her current single, We Found Love debuted at number 16 but has now risen to number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Being single might be a pain in the ass, but it sure hasn't hurt her career.

Interview with Waje - “I think every young girl out there should be careful before putting money first when deciding to date a guy…”

Aituaje Iruobe (born September 1), who is mostly known as WAJE which is the acronym for “Words aren’t just enough” is a Nigerian singer whose vocal range covers three octaves. As a young and gifted singer, she once sang gospel tunes to the delight of the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa of the Word of Faith Church, Benin who was quite impressed by her gift and decided to cater for her all through her secondary school days. This singer has known no bounds since she started singing professionaly in 2005. Amongst all her other awards, the singer in the just concluded NEA(Nigerian Entertainment Awards),emerged as ‘Best Pop/R&B Artist of The Year’. Amongst her songs such as ‘For a minute’, ‘kolo’, ‘adaku’ ‘Somewhere’, she is popularly known as the female voice behind the incredible ‘One Naira’ song with MI.

LOWLADEE.com: Can we know your full name waje?

WAJE: Aituaje Ebele Iruobe

LOWLADEE.com: Did you always dream of being a singer?

WAJE: Becoming a singer is a dream I nurtured from childhood. I Started by
joining the choir at a tender age, I did voice overs (back up) for one
of Majek Fashek’s song when I was in junior Secondary school. I also
went to secondary school(word of faith, Benin) on scholarship, So I’m
not completely surprised that I am one now…

LOWLADEE.com: Waje, you gained a lot of hype and publicity for the dual with M.I on One Naira…what does the one naira song mean to you?

WAJE: One naira I believe is an amazing song. Its gotten a lot of reviews
because we (MI and I) delivered it so well. We put all the emotions
necessary for the song to connect to our fans and we are glad we did.
For me, its just another good song, nothing personal.

LOWLADEE.com: Waje, so many ladies of today would rather add six more zeros to the one naira before dating any man, what is your earnest view and advice?

WAJE: I think every young woman out there should be careful before
putting money first when deciding to date a guy you know, as long as
he’s got a vision and a drive to achieve it, then you can settle with
him. Nothing also lasts forever. If the boy get many millions today, you
come go marry am because of money, wetin you go do if all d money go?

LOWLADEE.com: A lot of people said the song was sung by both you and M.I like it was
real, would you say the song ministerd to you in person?

WAJE: when you say real, I really do not know what you mean but before that
song, MI was already referred to as the best rapper in Africa and already had
money, so I don’t see why I would be singing a ONE naira song with someone
that already had millions if we were dating lol, I would be singing let
me chop ur money instead, but honestly, the song got to me too and it is a
constant reminder that money is not the most important part of a
relationship even if it is neccessary.

LOWLADEE.com: Waje, what has been your biggest challenge in life and how were you able
to overcome?

WAJE: hmmmmmmm jamb question! A lot dear, onstantly trying to put yourself
out there is a great challenge, connecting is one too. I’m just basically
being street smart.

LOWLADEE.com: Apart from singing, how else would you like to contribute to your world?

WAJE: Giving back to the society that got me here is always priority for
me. I am part of a breast awareness programme STAND UP TO CANCER NAIJA
organised by a young man Caleb, I use the platform I have to inform and
educate women on the the key to surviving breast cancer plus I
recently created an organization Called “SO INSPIRED” from the single
So Inspired, where I mentor youngsters from age 12-25 in career
 building and positive development.

LOWLDEE.com: What is your biggest achievement so far?

WAJE: Having people call me up and say WAJE you are such an inspiration.

LOWLADEE.com: Right now, you are standing infront of the whole world on that high stage, who would you like to appreciate?

WAJE: I would definitely love to appreciate my mum for all the support
and my family, they’ve been amazing and also a truck load of other
people that I cant possibly mention their names.

LOWLADEE.com: Have we seen the best of Waje?

WAJE: Of course not. I’ve not even dropped my debut album, its impossible
to have seen the best of Waje, wey i go still collect grammy sef lol.

LOWLADEE.com: Say something nice to LOWLADEE.com and her family…

WAJE: I think LOWLADEE is an amazing website and every one out there
needs to get on this website. Mwuah!!!!!!!!!
