The award ceremony is an annual event organised by Scrim Entertainment, which is headed by Daniel Okoduwa. The event was held in December at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney, and it was attended by Desmond Elliot, John Dumelo, Pascal Atuma. and Awilo Longomba among others. John Dumelo won the award for Most Outstanding African Actor, Mercy Johnson won Most Outstanding African Actress, and Desmond Elliot wonBest Director/Producer.
